Joseph did more than Taylor though despite having just as little service
Agree, but Taylor is a different sort of striker than Joseph. When (early in the first half) we got behind them, the wide player got to the goal line and crossed it in low and hard, I thought we had finally realised how we ought to be playing with Taylor up front. Unfortunately it didn't last. Jospeh is physically better suited to the sort of football we seem to be playing at the moment (although I wish we weren't).

Different strikers - like comparing Billy Hamilton with John Aldridge. You play a certain style depending on which or if both are playing. I think Taylor has his limitations, but with such dire service and not playing to his strengths (e.g. balls early (and) into the box), the coach has to be asked the questions rather than him.

If the service to the striker is as poor as it was today, I am not convinced it matters who is playing up there (but yes, do do need another striker!).
Exactly. Why the bloody hell we don’t put the ball into the box is beyond me.

We did plenty in the opening 25 minutes but Taylor was jogging into the box or pretty much on his heels if in the box. On crosses from open play, I don't think he got close to the 6 yard box much, not attacking either the front or back post and was often nowhere near where the ball was on any of them.

2 goals and an assist from Thomas-Asante today. If it was him KR was talking about, they'd better hope they've not agreed to a price yet!

He would be a great signing. It would certainly cheer me up for the rest of the weekend if the club announced it.

The balls into the box were poor, especially Bodin’s, didn’t even look up to find a player.

I don't disagree that plenty of the crosses were bad but not all of them. That won't change that Taylor wouldn't have been near them if they were better today as he wasn't getting near the danger areas.
