Cadden was just different quality but Sam Long never lets himself down.
People are a bit harsh on Steve Seddon had a very good first half of the season, and wouldn’t be surprised to see him prove a lot of people wrong next season.

Don’t disagree with this but inclined to think both are ‘mid-table L1’. Suspect we need at least one of higher quality if we’re going to challenge.
 
Derby tonight have announced two new players - Tom Barkhuizen and Joe Wildsmith - as well as two of their younger talents re-signing.
With more to come.

The club should be held accountable when thing are seemingly not being done properly. How many other of the 92 clubs don't have a kit ready yet or haven't made a signing they didn't already have last season?
 
I appreciate this has been done to death, but the friendly against Oxford City really does highlight for me our need for further defensive recruits. I’m not talking about the performance or goals conceded, they are irrelevant. It’s the fact that, as it stands, our back up back 4 is Sade, Mousinho, Golding, Owens 😳
It’s obvious that a new CB is coming but we need a couple of high quality full backs too. Talk of our only defensive additions being 1 CB and a young LB…is that going to be enough? That’s assuming the young LB does actually materialise this time round. Last summer we were told the same and then decided against it on deadline day. If you look at the Blackpool squad that got promoted, they had 8 recognised defenders in their squad. They even managed to play two completely different back 4’s in the games against us, and kept a clean sheet in both. That to me is the level of defensive cover we should be aiming to have.

(Gabriel, Ekpiteta, Gretarsson, Husband in the first game, Turton, Ballard, Thorniley, Garbutt in the second, for those who are interested)

You’re comparing us to a basket case of a club.

It’s not binary.

Derby fans have every reason to moan. Doesn’t mean our fans will have no right to moan at all.

However I will judge the signings in four weeks time but right now I think it’s probably not far off starting to wonder a little.

I mean it only took Burnley a few days to sign McNally. This isn’t some sort of complex investigatory science

Sky have been updating an article on the Prem, last updated 1st July. As of then, 9 of the premier league teams are still to release them if that gives you a starting point. A global, commercial powerhouse in Manchester United is yet to get anyone in the door… Just one off the top of my head.

So let’s just say we’re in decent company. Just chill out.

I get frustrated with Oxford United because I want us to get promoted. That's a stupid and insulting question though, obviously.

I respect the opinions of the relentlessly positive on here so you should try and accept mine.

Our squad is nowhere near good enough and the clock is ticking, not having a new kit doesn't help change my impression the club is a bit lackadaisical at the moment.

Thought Ballard played the first game, as I remember him out muscling someone like Atkinson to head the ball back across goal for one of their goals

It seriously sounds as if you hate the club.
There will be a number of new players coming in. Probably by the Coventry game. Which will be fine.
We dont know what is going on
But your comments are so negative ( about just about everything) that it sounds to me as if you really hate the club.

Your opinion is stupid. I absolutely love this football club and have done since the age of five. I'm pissed off about the lack of transfers and selling quality players all the time. That's it. If you care about something often you get frustrated.

Your attitude is seemingly if you have a few arguments with your wife, you must hate her.

I've been very positive on here before about our playing style and team but I've moaned on this thread. Human memories aren't great though so you've simply assumed all I do is moan.

Ignore me rather than try and disparage me if I bother you so much dickhead.

I think people do have a right to moan. But not again and again saying the same things! Jeez, edit yourselves, people!
