They will be lucky to avoid relegation like Wigan, and then the following year, splash the cash, and romp the league.

We have already signed Baldock, Gorrin and Bodin. They were all free agents who had no attachment to the club and could have moved anywhere. The only reason not to count them as signings is try and create a negative agenda that doesn't exist. We have signed 3 players so far and await further additions.

I don’t think that is the case with the negative agenda , it is the case of trying to build a team to take us to the next level after what as been so close the last few years . That is the agenda most fans want .

As well as: Henry, Smyth.

So minimum 7 players needed for a balanced squad in a 3-4-1-2 formation.

I know it worked well in parts last year and the Taylor/Baldock jigsaw is a tricky one to solve but I really don’t think 3 at the back will be used that much this season.

We will have to be flexible to get promoted so no reason why we won’t play a 3 and a 4 at times. Makes the signings of the 2 left sided defenders so so so important.

We're definitely looking at promising young PL players so these may be involved in the u19 Euros or preseason tours for their home clubs. We did exactly the same thing with Ben Woodburn where a deal was agreed in May but he didn't arrive until July.

I know there will be those who dismiss untested kids etc etc but PL academies have moved on a huge amount in the last few years and there will be some who ate very much ready for the cut and thrust of league one.
Dane Scarlett is definitely one we are interested in

They are not new signings, they were already our players.

Although Manchester United have just signed Cristiano Ronaldo on a one year deal after he left the club earlier today.

Bodin and Baldock‘s were on contracts until the end of last season. Therefore them signing new contracts to play for us this coming season, to me seems like they are new signings.

Who said anything about new business?

I’m fairly confident all 3 new contracts will be more significant bits of business than most new players who come in the door this summer, but the rapturous applause that would seemingly greet us singing literally any new name doesn’t reflect that.
True but we are short just hope we sign before the season starts and not like Januarys transfer window

James Golding, Yoav Sade, Will Owens, Slavi Spasov and Tyler Goodrham are the 5 youngsters who have joined to be part of the other 15 senior first team outfield players for pre season.
It simply can't be going to plan this window, although I'm sure Scott Chegg will claim otherwise.

Now THAT would be a wow signing! He’s one of the best young prospects in the EPL, and is currently smashing it up for England U19’s.

Anything further on this?
I won’t say who I know but it’s someone who’s very close in all his dealings, he’s just signed a new contract till 2026 5/6 weeks ago at Tottenham but knows he needs to get 1st team mens football this season (they’ve so far ruled out a move to the championship bit to soon for him at this stage) but MK Dons & 2 other clubs plus ourselves have enquired in his services to see if we can take him on a season long loan🤞
