Whyte is still contracted for another year, no way should we pay a fee for him.
Holland out of contract but probably wants big bucks of a wage.

Neither have done enough to warrant a place in next year's squad.

If he wants to play football he will have to accept what’s on offer unless someone like the scum want him and offer a bit more than maybe we would offer if we were to come go for him.

So 11 assists don't count towards anything then. Yeah he hasn't had the best of seasons but if the price is right whyte is a class player who we should be wanting to sign
Thought Whyte was OOC at the end of the season.

I’m surprised we’re keeping Seddon
I disagree I think Seddon ran out of energy and confidence at the same time unfortunately for him if KR had got a back up LB Seddon would be decent at this level

I'd really like us to sign wide players with real pace - who can (and will) take a man on and beat them - rather than ones who always turn infield. I realise this is giving KR an open goal...
So would other teams……that’s the problem

It was mentioned on Quest last night that Will Boyle at Cheltenham is leaving this summer, he is someone i’d go for, a big combative left sided centre half. Seems Pompey have been in for him in the past so I imagine he will end up there.

I think Daniel Udoh at Shrewsbury would be a good fit for the fourth striker berth, strong quick and powerful and can play up front or on the wing.

If we’re pushing the boat out budget-wise I would love to see Lego back as the defensive midfielder but think I’m dreaming there, a quick google reveals he’s a big part of Preston’s plans for next season as he recovers from injury.

I`m quite happy that Forde will be with us next season, versatile player that rarely lets us down.
If i was KR i would be pretty happy to have a left footed version of him in the squad as well *,
no fuss and ready to jump in when needed, i suspect that next season he will be 3rd choice RB
and way down the list for the other positions and for that role he is more than adequate.

* Depending on squad size.
Really

If that is the case why hasn’t he played more?
I think Williams is the better option for that role and he never lets us down
It could be that Williams won’t be here next year and that would be the only reason I can see for keeping Forde

That should hopefully be the 2 wingbacks we sign. Power and pace running on the outside that will create more room in the middle of the park to play. Williams/Seddon tried their best yesterday but just aren't fast enough/fit enough to continue it for 90 mins. Forde isn't the answer either and I'm still unsure why we signed him for next season other than to play in the pizza trophy. 🙄
Any ideas? ✔️😊

Where did he say Mousinho will be in the squad next year?
I included on the basis he wasn't mentioned whereas he mentioned all the other out of contract people in terms of being let go/being offered terms.
Can easily take him out.

Will Boyle is a player we were looking at last summer. Also Jack Tucker looked ok in a poor Gillingham side.

I'm not just for his attacking stats which are decent returns.

Joint 3rd for assists
2nd for chances created
Best chances per 90 created ratio
More goals than Whyte, Kane, Williams & McGuane who all made a similar amount of appearances.

They all scream play as a wing-back due to his defensive weaknesses but for whatever reason we only tried that minimal times (one being yesterday v Doncaster) and preferred to put Sykes/Williams in the wing-back position.

There is a very good player in there. He rightly, got taken out of the side when suffered a dip in form/confidence.
But in the final 10 games, he played twice, once as an emergency centre-back at Shrewsbury (we won) and then against Doncaster. He has not been a main part of the side that took 8 points from the final 8 games but personally feel he has been too easily shoehorned into this season's scapegoat figure despite barely playing in the final part of the season where we rather ballsed it up.

Ok fare comment but not at left back ever.

Would Williams be happy playing that role ?

I`m guessing that Long is destined for the bench next season and will be 2nd choice RB and back up CB,
if anything happens to one of the first choice players Long moves off the bench and Forde onto it, same in
midfield, a couple of injuries and Forde is on the bench, think of him as the back ups back up and if he is
the least talented player in the squad then thats going to be a pretty good squad for L1.
