Really

If that is the case why hasn’t he played more?
I think Williams is the better option for that role and he never lets us down
It could be that Williams won’t be here next year and that would be the only reason I can see for keeping Forde
I know I’m pretty much in the minority here but I don’t rate Williams that highly.
To me he’s one of those players that runs around a lot, and shows endeavour, but his crossing is pretty woeful especially for a winger. He always seems to want an extra touch on the ball before crossing allowing the defender to close down.

No we were only after him last summer and looked again January. FGR wanted to keep him for this season. It was Chris Cadden we were after the season before but he went to America instead.
Ok, but why would Nicky Cadden want to come here?

For the right wing back position, we should be looking at

Steven Sessegnon - Plymouth Out of Contract this summer

Luther Wildin - Stevenage out of contract this summer

Josh Emmanuel - Hull out of contract this summer but Hull do have an option to trigger another year.
Haven’t seen anything of Wildin live - what type of RWB is he?

Flexibility is fine, but this debate started because of Karl including MB as one of his strikers, yet you've just listed five positions but not striker.

It’s a specialist position and deserves specialist recruitment not a jack-of-all-trades approach.

Marcus Browne has played 3 times (218 minutes) as a striker for us (all L1) and scored 2 goals (from Transfermarkt).

Bloody hell, someone get on the blower to Bazza - we’ve found our 30 goal a season and he was hiding in plain sight.

Agree he’s nothing spectacular but not a bad thing to have someone who will give you a 7 out of 10 virtually every game in a few positions. And I do like players who give everything particularly when it’s a bad day at the office.

A very handy squad player in my book and has the experience of promotion. But yes he’s certainly not the type/quality of player that gets you out of the division, particularly now as the standard has risen considerably last few years.

Eh?

But yes, a decent squad player with a bit of quality who you have no concern about putting his all in.

As the squad stands in my opinion if the 4 offered deals all sign.

Signings needed.

2 - forwards
1 - centre midfielder
1 - left back
1 - right back
2 - centre backs
What about a defensive midfielder?

He’s a good quality fill-in. Do I mind him playing at Cheltenham when the schedule gets a bit rough? No. But do I want him starting every week next year in a team that wants to try and finish in a top 2? Absolutely not.

What about a defensive midfielder?

2 forwards: 1 target man & 1 quick e.g Whyte

1 - centre midfielder - defensive/box to box

1 - left wing back
1 - right wing back

2 - centre backs - Thorniley & C’Brown would be ideal.

16 mins or so into this end of season autopsy Posh chairman Darragh Macanthony rues not selling a player in the January window.
He could be referencing a bid from the U’s for Sammie Szmodics?

I've seen him play a couple of times and he is quick, very good fitness wise, just in a very poor team.

Wonder if with MApp leaving Lincoln we could raid a manager less Lincoln. Likes of Anthony Scully, Lewis Montsma and Regan Poole would all be useful signings

Regan Poole could be a good shout for the right back position

Could also be Norburn who Blackpool supposedly pushed very hard for as their plan B to Brannagan throughout Jan.

As a general point his visibility as an owner of a club is absolutely outstanding. Such an admirable quality and a lesson to football club owners who treat fans as punters and nothing more and hide behind managers (who they choose) to do all the public speaking.

DM comes out with some real tripe but at least he goes on record and doesn’t hide. Particularly after a relegation, full credit to him.

It is Noburn.

He handed in a transfer request as he was homesick.

P’boro didn’t let him go Blackpool and he went and done his ACL on international duty when the deal was agreed for the summer.

+ Kane Wilson another one from FGR right back/wing back (in league 2 team of the year as well as Cadden 3 goals & 13 assists) out of contract
