Robinson is not the man

He'll be back soon enough regaling tales of his client's brilliance if Brum avoid the drop.

Well that one wasn't difficult to call!

To summarise:
- decent coach
- poor manager
- sh1t troll

Overall: D minus. Must try harder and stop relying on his friend Garry to get him out of the difficult situations his mouth (and Julian) talks him into. Shhhh

I don't blame DE for selecting Clothead. Witness the various other managers that have talked a good game and then failed to deliver. Where I do blame him was firstly allowing Clothead to dump the previous recruitment plan and bringing in a collection of injury prone, geriatric, has beens, never was's and never will be's. Secondly for not dumping him when it was glaringly obvious he was a total failure.

My sentiments exactly. All started to go pear shaped when we lost key players that Appleton brought to the club e.g. Nelson, Hall, Ribs and, in a different scenario, Payne. Without those four, the glaring deficiencies of PEP's recruitment became obvious.

And Monk is ex-OUFC so, I feel we should be supporting Monk & Pep @ BCFC.

Frequently your fusillade of daily drivel holds something that takes the breath away but this takes the biscuit.

By your logic, Digital Dipstick, we should be supporting the mackem filth because four-fifths of this forum wanted to have Stewart Donald's babies a few short weeks ago.

I dont agree. DE is 100% to blame. DE and Mapp admitted that they were considering making changes to the recruitment model, due to competition for young UK talent, and lack of supply. In addition it was agreed that the squad needed more experience. He knew Pep's managerial record, but Pep fitted with DE's updated model and agenda, at the time. Managers are judged on the players they sign. Likewise, a Chairman is judged on the manager he hires. End of.

I am NOT going to support AFC Sunderland, but I wish SD well, and I will watch out for their results.

IMO that was not Pep's fault he lost these players to injury. I remember radox stating that football under Pep, early in the season, was some the best they had seen @ the kazzam for a long time. I feel something else happened, off the pitch, that lead to Pep's exit, and I feel that DE alluded to this @ the FF on Good Friday.

Yes, lost three to injury but didn't have/recruit the right level of back up despite the large squad. Payne's exit may well be linked to the "something else'.

I agree. But any team in L1, maybe for the exception of Wigan and Blackburn would seriously struggle with the summer turmoil on/off the pitch, losing Ribs, Nelson and Robbie, at the same time having to bed in a number of "imports" etc..

But I feel DE is to blame for 17/18 season. I dont think there was any succession planning, not surprising with the SD/Satori take-over. It was a difficult time for all concerned and we were lucky that Tiger invested when he did and paid out out substantial compensation for CAFC for KR., or we of been following K Thomas and NTFC back into L2.

Maybe the Troll in a previous incarnation forgot to turn his VPN on and the MOD's did a Jack Bauer on him.
