Ex Player Josh Ruffels

Been a good pro for us but I’ll be shocked if he goes to the division above and even more so if he cuts it at that level

Josh going to Forest with Mc Guane coming the other way makes sense especially after KR’s short comments on the 5 minute forum
I like Josh going forward and he can score goals, however when defending against pace he is not good.
How he will get on in a higher league would worry me. If we did get up a new left back would be one of our first targets

Ruffles being linked with a move to Forest and we are trying to sign Mcguane from them, I know which one I would rather have in the squad. While Ruffles has been a great servant to the club I'm not sure if he is good enough to make the step up. Atkinson, Moore and Long have far more potential and is vital none of them leave if we are to push on next season. Mcguane was our best player before he got injured and with him fit we could of been atleast safely in the playoffs by now.

McGuane coming here will have nothing to do with Josh going there. Josh can go wherever he wants he's OOC!!

I worry about the legend of McGuane.

He was starting to show some form and influence games, and I would love us to sign him, but let's not re-write history.

A few other names worth considering as a suitable replacement for Josh.
Steve Seddon-Brum, Tom Pearce-Wigan and Ibou Touray-Salford.

T'would be a shame to break the habit.

He was our best attacking player though? That’s not re-writing history, it’s fact. That might be due to the fact a number of other players were badly out of form. It may also be because he is that good? I’d say a mixture of both. If he’s available then we do all that we can to sign him.

Exactly the rest of the team could hardly string a couple of passes together. He took the game by the scruff of the neck and made things happen and was playing like Brannagan last season. If we can get him permanently it will be a great signing.

Nottingham is ok isn’t it? Ive only been once mind. I’m sure he’d live in a posh bit.
I've only been once myself, found it very rough and dodgy, couldn't wait to get out of there!

Like you say though, I'm sure there are nice parts, but I certainly didn't see any of them!

"The Meadows" is near the footie grounds and Trent Bridge is one the dodgiest areas. It's not a good advert for the city to sporting visitors.
