Salary cap discussion here: https://yellowsforum.co.uk/threads/salary-cap-confirmed.4124/#post-287635
I'm sure another deal has already been completed but will depend on when the club are looking to announce it. Possibly Monday with the players back in training? Will we see a new player come in today on top of the excellent news of Cam siging a new contract?
Sykes or Dickie please!I'm sure another deal has already been completed but will depend on when the club are looking to announce it. Possibly Monday with the players back in training?
Dickie? More chance of Henry shooting...Sykes or Dickie please!
New player hopefully! Think Sykes will extend with baby on the way and him and his missus settled, but can't see this being rushed through. An extra couple of years from Dickie would trump everything else!!Sykes or Dickie please!

I heard that we were after a young midfielder who we expected to sign earlier this week, so not sure if that's one to still come in.Is it anyone we've been linked with or a left field one?

I can see it being a year extension but otherwise I'd go with that. Brannagan is a natural leader and will be able to grow into the captaincy role with Mous presumably staying as club captain.
I’ll just leave this here (again).I think it’ll be a 2 year extension with a much improved wage hoping he can recover his form and then sell for good money next Summer.

Maybe selling Dickie wouldn't be a bad thing. 3 million is a big chunk of cash to help us survive this year with all the uncertainty. Plus Dickie would be easier to replace than if Brannagan would have left. Of course he is a great player but so was Nelson, Dunkley. I trust Karl to have someone lined up already if and when Dickie is sold.
Now Brannagan has signed a new deal, Karl can concentrate on another striker, trying to get Browne on a permanent or a season long loan. Another experienced GK to give Eastwood a kick up the a**e. A CM that will do all the dirty work like Gorrin.
Once this is all in place we can storm the league, take the 6 points of the swine, finally beat Sunderland and have the tittle wrapped up in April. Then on open top bus parade the driver can get lost and accidently go up the a420 to run salt in the wounds of them 6 fingered cants ??
I doubt we'll be signing an experienced keeper as competition considering the salary cap.
loanee maybe?I doubt we'll be signing an experienced keeper as competition considering the salary cap.
correct, and only on contracts signed before the cap was agreed on.The salary cap means that the players we already have will be assigned the 'average wage'. I assume this would cover the length of the contract.

That's what I'd suggest.loanee maybe?
Sorry I mean the players that have been signed by clubs before today’s date who will be on more than the average, sat a player is on 5k a week next season will that go to the average 1.7k a weekThe salary cap means that the players we already have will be assigned the 'average wage'. I assume this would cover the length of the contract.
