Judging from the games we've played against them this season, I don't think Pompey at their best are too much better than what they've showed. We didn't show our best football at all, but you can absolutely see how Portsmouth could finish in the play-off positions if they play football like that against less talented sides. It's football that you accept if you win, but absolutely loathe if you don't.

It might go overlooked after the drama of the shootout but to come from behind TWICE in a playoff semifinal after over 100 days of not playing any football at all tells you so, so much about the character of these players and this team. I think we showed we had more in the depth of our squad, as our substitutions brought us right back into the game, and really in the end we probably shaded it as the better side. I’ll hold my hands up and say I think KR got the Mackie/Taylor starting dilemma spot on. I dread to think how we’d have seen that out without Taylor leading the line.

Unbelievable result. Still can’t get over the fact that we’re going to Wembley. Love this team.

General consensus before the game was keep Curtis quiet and we will win, Longy did it all game long and even gave him a bit extra. I'm not his biggest fan but thought he was our man of the match (shoutouts to Sykes, Dickie and Moore)

Glad to see him put in the kind of defensively display he's been doing for most of the season, the first 45 against Curtis was an outlier. Glad that KR isn't dictated to by some on the forum, as he would've been dropped for Forde.

Have to say one of the best things about Sam long is the way that in the wake of criticism he ALWAYS fights back and puts in a performance. Top player and man.

Don't worry, in 30 years time you'll still only remember exactly what you remember now. Nothing after the age of 30 sticks, believe me. I remember up to about 1995, so guess I still believe we are a championship team ?

Am I the only one that thinks us vs Pompey really should have been the final not that I care because we’re going to Wembley but the other two teams belong in non league not the league one play off ?

This is the thing that worries me a little bit. I hope everyone connected with the club doesnt think its now ‘job done‘. There’s still a massive hurdle to overcome in the final, whoever we face. Hopefully the momentum is now with us though.
