My girl wasn't impressed... She says, "they kept losing the ball.". I won't disagree!!!

We have a lot more to give, but we took their punches and they didn't work Eastwood as much as I think they would have. We need to get better but the nerves should be gone and the players know what to expect.

Do Away goals count for anything? 0-0 at ours we go through? suspect not..... just like GD, away goals worth the same as any goals

reasonably fair result, they had the better of it overall but after not getting more than 1 with Curtis's opener, I would've felt pretty pissed off if we had lost that one. Curtis complains about everything, that was never a Pen at the end, looked like he kicked the ground and fell over when he spun away from Agyei.

Monday, Woodburn has to be on the bench, Sykes SO much better. Hoping Brannagan didn't tweak a hamstring, that was a huge bag of ice he picked up when he came off. Rest of the team was ok once Long settled down after getting torched in the first 35 mins.

Take that. It was never going to be flowing football. Good equaliser and I think Karl's management of the subs for the second game was spot on. I don't think he was worried about getting the win but was concentrating on fitness for Monday.

A result we'd take and a fair result. Some of those Portsmouth penalty shouts though ...

I thought everyone looked very leggy in the second half that made it a dull spectacle to sit through. There were a few moments (Burgess header that Easty did well with) but nothing that really stretched either side too much. I'd hate to think how some of them will be should it go to extra time at the Kass.

The game passed Woodburn by so Sykes has to start ahead of him. Other than that, the other positions should stay the same. I thought after Long's struggles in the first half, he did a much better job of keeping Curtis quiet (who looks Pompey's best outlet) and Browne looked our most dangerous player for most of the game.

It's 90 proper minutes under the belt for a lot too. A big push on Monday and let's get our name in the play off final.

Solid. Grew into the game and thought we looked the better team for long periods. Long looked very vulnerable against their one threatening attacking outlet - a bit of a concern. I would back us in the second leg, although would be very concerned if CB is out. As has been pointed out, Woodburn didn't look nearly up to the pace of the game. Expected Agyei to come on and make hay against an opposition leaving that much space, but I think he only had a solitary touch of the ball.

Great result that though.

Woodburn isn't for enough, can't blame him after his back to back injuries.
For me that was the same Woodburn we saw too many times earlier in the season. Not strong enough, not commanding enough, lots of loose touches and misplaced passes... zero meaningful impact. Sykes came on and outperformed him in the first five minutes, even just in terms of getting about and putting a few sprints in.

Really hope Sykes starts on Monday. I think if we have a bit more energy to us, especially in the first half, it’s there to be won.
