Manager/Coach Karl Robinson - Will he walk

hence 'similar kind of' to simplify the two similar kinds of situations ..... KR had 'differences' with the board at Charlton, fingers crossed that the 'differences' with OUFC board that KR has/had have been sorted out

The Charlton owner had regular protests about his ownership (the plastic pink pigs and tennis balls being thrown on to the pitch at separate games spring to mind) and a load of Charlton fans went to Belgium and his home to protest as well as he was running the club down based on what I read. People have complained about Tiger on here and on Rad Ox but I bet most owners get this at just about every club in the country. So no it isn't a similar kind of situation either. Hopefully you are right about KR.

Barring any further statements from the club, KR has the perfect opportunity to put this to bed with the 5 minute forum tomorrow. There can only be one question and it really needs a one word answer.

If he doesn't unequivocally put it to bed or is mysteriously unavailable, then we can probably guess the rest.........

What worries me is why did Blackpool ask to speak to KR when there are other out of work managers they could have approached or indeed managers who are employed by teams in our league, such as Mark Robbins or Phil Parkinson. Did they have an suspicion that they could prise KR away, that his position here wasn't that strong? Just a thought......

There was a rumour doing the rounds that Middlesbrough don’t like his attitude and we can have him for 450k at the end of the season

I still think there is a little issue with his attitude at times. He can be a bit sulky, and although he is much better this season, there were signs of it at times last season. He is undoubtedly a very good player, and I think will benefit from working with someone like Robinson (or Stam!)

He said he wanted it sorted quickly.
If he is on the phone in tomorrow I reckon he will probably stay.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if he is suddenly ill and cant make the phone in?

If you follow the timeline, I think Blackpool saw the fallout from Fosbap (as we played them the day after the window closed) and possibly sensed an opportunity to sign a manager on an upward trajectory with some impressive high profiles wins under his belt and the right philosophy when it comes to club and young player development, as well as an eye for developing forgotten and discarded talent and turning them into profit.

All things any sane club owner, wanting to run a "sustainable model" wants!

All things that would attract an ambitious owner with big ideas....if you don't ask, you don't get!

Grayson was still there, but his head must've been firmly on the block by that point

That would have been OK if news hadn't leaked out. But it did, and made that post match interview excruciating listening. TBH a text to Robinson immediately after the final whistle saying 'Great win. Blackpool have asked if they talk to you, phone me as soon as you can. Hugs and kisses, Tiger' would have at least given the bloke a heads up.

And that seems to be exactly what did happen

And she’s not an OUFC supporter.....who is she

She's a football journalist, presenter and commentator - and has been for the past 20 years. She was the first female to commentate on MotD and currently presents Sunday Supplement. In the past she's presented MotD, the Football League Show & Final Score for the BBC and the 2016 Euros & 2018 World Cup for ITV. Who are you?

Exactly this. Did Northampton just chance their arm in thinking Wilder might be interested in swapping a promotion challenge for a relegation scrap? Of course not.
