* Words from a Reading mate of mine *McLeary was one of our best players a few years ago but he is broken! He has barely played the last two seasons due to injury and is now out of favour. If he stays fit he could be brilliant in League 2. Hard working, fast-ish, loves a stepover, intelligent, and seems like a good character to have in the dressing room.

As for McCleary, my Reading season ticket holder, said at the end of last season, having returned from serious injury, he was at his fittest he had been and looked a player. Another serious signing if that comes off.

As long as he’s happy with a seat on the bench at first and doesn’t expect to dethrone our first choice sitting midfield player. He will definitely put bums on seats, but I’ve heard a bigger club is in for him so we might just get him by the seat of our pants as that sort of money is pocket change to the big boys. Luckily Tiger has given KR a lot of booty and we should avoid the squeaky bum time of the end of the transfer window, as long as we don’t get our pants pulled down by the selling club, and no-one acts like an a**e and takes photos of him looking back at the camera in the tunnel.
