Thorne seems a bit pointless..

With Gorrin/Hanson in front of the 4, and Cam, Sykes, Baptiste etc going forward do we really need another CM? Outgoing?
Wouldn't go as far as pointless. If he's fit he'd be one of the best back up CMs in the league. I can see baptiste going out on loan. Sykes will be the other back up cm/winger

No, no, I more imagine him as an old mystic

I’d hope Baptiste will be starting tbh. He’s got so much energy, if he stays at the same level he will be hard to leave out. Over the last few years, especially at home, I’ve seen midfielders aplenty who can knock the ball around and sideways a bit, but players who can drive forward and run past a man are rare and open up teams
Who do you take out for baptiste?

If fit there is no way George Thorne is a back up centre midfielder. Gorrin would certainly be second choice to Thorne.

Tbh, was hoping we would go 433 this season with Gorrin, Baptiste, Brannagan in midfield...then 2 high wingers and a decent physical striker. That leaves no space for #10 but both Sykes and Henry can play in the midfield

Where do you fit Woodburn in? He hasn't come here to sit on the bench!!

The flurry of activity this week is a major relief. Getting the Moore deal sealed seems to me the key to changing the complexion of this window.
We badly need two strikers (there seems to be some ambiguity as to where Woodburn is best played) before the squad can be called complete.

The big test for KR will be how quickly he can blend the new signings with the existing players, and I think that this is his strength, judging by the way he developed a competitive team in the second half of last season.

There can be no denying that it is all happening too late on in the window to be confident of a good start, but on paper the squad is developing into a better outfit than the one that started last season. Fingers, and eyes, crossed.

I'm not sure why we are clinching the Thorne deal...yes, a good player earlier on in his career, but hit by bad injuries and unable to get into Luton's first team last season. We are ok in midfield, put the salary money into getting a striker!

Gorrin/Thorne/Mous/Hanson all battling for the DM spot. You'd not want to play more than two of them.

We also have three right-backs.

Could Hanson be departing?
