I'm lucky enough to have access to a lot of info that most aren't. I can't put what I know on here as I'd never get told anything again. It's often bloody frustrating but all I'll say is a lot of work is being done to get some real quality in and although we don't hear from them much, the chairman and board members are very much involved.

sounds like something KR would say ........48 hours?

Prepare yourself for the flak that will come your way from those who find it easier to moan than to wait for everything to come together. I have also heard bits that leaves me very confident that we will get the right players in and think everyone will reflect differently if/when the 2 or 3 deals that I have heard about come through.

I hope you are right. People have got very impatient with the delays in filling key roles and cynical about so-called itk posters

You guys sound a lot more confident about it all than Robinson. Genuine question: Are these players likely to arrive before the Sunderland game or are they loans that we’ll have to wait until the end of the transfer window for?

i've said how hard it's become to get deals done nowadays but i don't think people are moaning, concerned perhaps but at the end of the day we all want the best for our club

Oh please, why bother saying anything at all?

Prepare yourself, oh come on, he may have some inside contacts but why bother posting anything about them if he can,t divulge it, it,s totally worthless.

I was only having a bit of light banter, certainly have no intention of getting on anyones case and giving them a hard time.

If you guys (or any others) are truly ITK, then great, and I really hope the positive things you say you've been hearing are true, and if they are, I'll be the first to get excited by the good news, but you can't deny we've dealt with so many false prophesies during this window, which is leaving us all a bit sceptical of anything we hear right now.

People are only going by what has actually happened and you can't blame them for that - it's been pretty poor so far. There is little point in listening to the posters who are (or claim to be) in the know or the clubs predictions (48 hours, big week etc), because even if the club is straining every sinew to sign the best players for us, it counts for little until and unless they actually sign.
This saga is going to run until the 2nd September anyway, never mind the first six games of the season.

It is up to others to determine what value they place on any comments posted. But the very point of having some information is that I/we can say that the situation is nowhere near as bad as some fear, and that hopefully, time will show this. Transfers are never easy, and anything can happen up to the point when people sign on the dotted line and hold the shirt up at the training ground. Very few people will guarantee signings, but that doesn't mean that things aren't happening. For example, we offer a deal for a player who is happy to join etc, but the selling club wants to tie up a replacement before they agree to close the deal. It may not be right to disclose who that player is, but it may be appropriate to say that things are very close. With everything I post, I really don't care if you believe it or not, or feel that it has value or is totally worthless. That is your choice.

I agree with nearly all that but I,m fed up with people who say they are itk but can t divulge it because of this or that, it doesn,t really help at this point, i just hope we get some genuine good transfer news soon.

You do come across as a right know it all.

Your "ITK" information is absolutely no different to what Robinson is telling us in his interviews. Proof is in pudding. So far the vital positions we need still haven't been signed up less than 10 days before our first match. Leaving no time for them to work together if/when (oh i hope it's when!) they sign. Could take some time for them to form some chemistry, and a slow start cost us last season.

And there's also no guarantees we won't lose any players before the window shuts.

Nail - Head.

He sounds increasingly anxious in each interview, jumping the gun in defending himself over lack of progress before even being pressed on the matter at times!

Don't get me wrong @Scotchegg , the manner and content of your posts is far more reassuring than many ITKers we've had over the many years, but Robbo's mannerisms (at least in the public eye) seem far from confident. Perhaps it's just who he is, and he suffers from the anxiety of not being Mr Popular with the fans as he waits for these deals to be done, even if he is confident of their completion.

He said he had learnt from last year's transfer issues, and would get people in ASAP so that they can have a good pre-season with the rest of the lads, even if that meant passing on his first choices because they take too long to confirm (a la Smith). Doesn't look like that's quite what's happened though, does it?

I keep telling myself not to worry, and then I see him in an interview...

Still, thankfully I'm on some pretty strong medication these days, so I'm generally too zoned out to panic!

We "eventually" got our signings in last season, late, and it led to this start:

We now know the signings were not good enough, but there's no guarantees they'll be good enough this year, hence why Robinson said they'd learn from it. We need to make sure we start better than this.

Key words there are if/when!!;)

I would rather have some who seem to think that they are in the know that the Kip type of doom mongering when he is clearly not in the know!
I would rather everyone acknowledge the fact that everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and if that opinion, on that occasion, for whatever reason, is positive or negative, then thats up to them, and they should not be criticised or shot down in flames for it.

Everyone's going to think differently, and its about respecting those views, weather you agree or not.

Makes for a much more pleasant environment for healthy debate.

Easy ennit?
