Can’t be much greed with the new wage cap.

If he had said:
"we have space in the first team squad bring players in, and we would prefer to do it early, however we wont bring players in for bringing them in sake and will only bring players in that improve the squad "
"We also have to recognise how well the team has done of late so we have to be mindful not to disrupt the team on the pitch"

Is exactly the same as saying (I want to bring players but the current players have done well) but wouldn't cause a meltdown after no-one has come is as of yet, I also don't think its helpful to say we have missed out on targets because that only leads people to assume its down to money.
