Don't get me wrong, I'm a big MApp fan, but I feel this might be a bit of a rose-tinted view. For a 'Championship-standard team', we needed a win on the last day of the season to secure the autos, and went through some really bad runs, even in 15-16. Remember in around February (I think it was) when we kept dropping points at home? Home losses to Accrington, Leyton and Luton (I think) all in a pretty short space of time are easy to forget now that they didn't really matter but were viewed pretty dimly at the time.Insane. He did so much for us- that team was hands down the best team to watch of the recent era. We blew teams away. We played superlative football. With hindsight we can see that the team was Championship standard and we had it in League 2.
Him taking that Leicester job was totally understandable but massively disappointing. Would you like to work in the Premier League for a s**t load more money after building a brilliant managerial reputation in League 2?
It's nonsense to call him a snake. Absolute shite, actually.
Agree that he's absolutely not a snake and, if anything, him moving was probably eminently sensible given the shenanigans that went on the following couple of seasons.
