Christ the moany whinger brigade are in full flow now ...We lost to a bang on form side who we were containing pretty easily .
It happens in football . Recruitment , injuries and illness cost us the start of the season.
We need to get that right for the next one which is more than likely to be in league one.
Very , very important to hit the ground running from the start next season.
Wasn’t it this season, too?

Not been on or read thru but are we blaming Henry or Kip? Did he not go to the park 😡

Not sure why I bother to read this reactionary nonsense after a defeat. KR is neither the messiah or deserving of the sack, he’s built a good team but an imbalanced squad. If we keep hold of our best players and add depth, we’ll be able to compete with the bigger clubs and budgets that tend to sit at the top of this division.

Tonight in isolation was disappointing, the game turned on the handball. Just one of those instinctive decisions that results in (normally) a double punishment of a goal and a sending off. We couldn’t afford that in a close game.

Do we really have to have the ridiculous Robinson out shouts every time we lose a game! It’s f*****g pathetic! We are still in the mix, yes it’s going to be tough but Christ, after what’s gone on in football these last few days isn’t this what real football about? The ups and down is what makes this game great! We were never going to win every game for the last 8 or so games. We were going to lose at least 1!

Well said!! COYY

Oh ffs some of the people on here are worse than my missus !
But it didn't happen did it , get over it
No, it didn’t.

Where we differ is in our level of faith that it will. Mine is zero and having had three attempts at it, you’ll have to forgive my evidence based pessimism.

Henrys fault but Taylor was anonymous, Shodipo was lightweight, sykes was unproductive, moore/atkinson missed the corner header, ruffels missed a sitter, brannagan was hollywood passing etc.

It gets very dull having to endure the furious KR OUT crowd on here every time we lose a game.

Like it or not, Oxford United had uniquely difficult circumstances to the start of this year. The timing of the summer playoffs, the short period planning and recruiting for this season and the obvious subsequent psychological knock-on effects to at least two of our most important players as a result of that play-off final loss were not something any other side had to deal with (well, perhaps Pompey and Fleetwood, but how are they getting on?). Add the injury crisis at the start of the year and the unprecedentedly packed schedule for the first four months of this year and, to be honest, the fact we're anywhere near the playoffs is a miracle.

We have progressed as a club under KR. You can choose to ignore that reality, but it doesn't add much particularly helpful or interesting to the forum. He's not perfect, but to write him off as useless is just tiring.

We didn't win tonight. We'll probably still be in League One next season. We've got a good infrastructure to the club, will almost certainly be competing at the top end of League One again next year, and have a team we can relate to and engage with with the two local lads starring. I reckon life's pretty good as an OUFC fan at the moment.

Have a good evening all 👍🏻

Very well said.

What a fickle lot we are!!! 3 wins in a row and people are saying that KR is brilliant. One defeat and he needs sacking!! Give me strength. Ok, things haven't gone completely according to plan but who else would people want to be in charge of our football team. Yes KR has made mistakes this season but what manager hasn't. IMO he is still the best man for our team. He has brought stability to the club and bought into the ethos of OUFC. He still has my full support.
