Transfer News Transfer window 2020/21

Comparing the freedoms that we have and enjoy to the horror of the Eastern bloc under the communists is not a particularly good comparison. This is a football forum btw

I really feel like people vent their frustrations at our lack of signings on Kip, he becomes a lightning rod. Plenty of posters on here expressing similar opinions to him, leaping on every post he makes is very tedious.
Do me a favour. And before you accuse me of bullying, no one else courts or seeks attention like him, regularly and consistently.
I’m not frustrated at our lack of signings, anyone who knows Robinson knows to take what he says with a pinch of salt .
Sign someone, don’t sign someone, there are a hundred reasons why we haven’t or won’t, I just don’t understand the need to constantly bitch about the club and the management so negatively all the time.

Reading through the lines it looks like the board have settled for a mid table finish this season. Cut costs where you can i.e. clare / mous and replace if you can for cheap loan replacements. Understandable given the current situation but frustating as a fan as think we have a shout of the play offs if we could add 2 or 3 good players to really push the starting 11. Hope im wrong of course.

the league is pretty s**t this season so even if we dont go for it we could still get to the play offs.

Fair assessment especially with potential for a reduced season. The really poor start was even more of a problem than normal. If we were in say Lincoln's positon you would want to really go for it.
Because we haven't beaten a decent team we are not really sure how good or bad this team is.
Not a great place to spend big in this window.

Im not sure the situation with Mous has anything to do with costs because if he isn’t playing, he will be part of the coaching setup and will still be getting paid. I’m not sure what you’ve been reading to come to the conclusion that the board have settled for mid-table? For god sake, there are 26 games left in the season, we haven’t lost in 10 games, we’ve won 5 on the bounce and we are most definitely in the mix.

The League is no different this season than any other season. In fact, which such as Hull, Sunderland, Ipswich and Portsmouth, plus 'up and comers' like Lincoln and Peterborough, it might be considered stronger than usual.
