Legendary U’s manager Maurice Evans sadly passed away on this day 22 years ago aged 63.
Maurice, a true gentleman, was appointed manager after a top flight 5-0 demolition of Leicester at the Manor
on August 24th 1985 and led United to Wembley Glory in 1986 defeating Queens Park Rangers 3-0 to win the League Cup.

Oxford Utd sign Burton Albion defender John Mousinho , 31 on a free transfer on Deadline Day five years ago.
U’s manager Pep Clotet said that Mousinho is a ‘natural leader and fiercely competitive.’

Yep. Really enjoyable. Iirc, there was trouble in the stadium as well in the concourse between both sets of supporters as the segregation wasn't up to the job.
