Manager/Coach Roy Keane passion, leadership, drive.

"track record guiding Sunderland to the premiership."

Dean Whitehead as team captain. Only reason they went up.

Souness was the same. Fantastic player, an abysmal manager. The uncompromising old school mentality just doesn't work in modern football.

Souness was still relevant in the 80s with Rangers but after that was downhill, culminating with dreadful spells at Newcastle and Blackburn in the 00s.

Keane's hard man spiel just doesn't have a place in modern football except for a club valuing shock value and publicity more than actual progress.
