I thought the same but then is that instinct? Look at David Luiz 30+ year old international player yet does the same time after time after time!!!Just needs to cut out the needless fouls and learn that he can’t win the ball all the time. Ref the second goal on Tuesday for the most recent example
Other than that. He’s developing just nicely..
Correct bazzer!Don’t think that’s changed as of yet
I both hope and expect that is right!Very true.
As Leftsideboy said though Atkinson is on a long term contract.
I expect that the figure for Atkinson has gone up significantly since he has started playing regularly.
may be a good question to ask KR on tonights 5 min fans forum on rad Ox ( whether, following PFA successful challenge to L1/2 salary cap, the squad size limits have also been 'scrapped')? ... get clarification from someone (KR) genuinely ITKDon’t think that’s changed as of yet
That surprises me.Don’t think that’s changed as of yet
I did think that (squad size limit) was the primary target' in PFA's challenge to Squad size & salary cap in L1/2Number restrictions also going. That was the PFA’s main problem as it affects their members’ ability to gain employment, full stop. The amount they’re able to be paid is secondary to their right to have a club at all.
Money talksAnd what do you deem a really good offer? If you think a million is a really good offer for potentially the best CB the club has ever had, you’re not even close. He’s going nowhere.
Purely because the squad limit was included as part of said cap. They’re one and the same - all changes were simply referred to as, and lumped in as part of “the salary cap”. It’s all going.I did think that (squad size limit) was the primary target' in PFA's challenge to Squad size & salary cap in L1/2
but most 'soudbite' reports refer to salary cap being scrapped with no mention of squad size limits being lifted
cheers for clarification @RyanioBirdioPurely because the squad limit was included as part of said cap. They’re one and the same - all changes were simply referred to as, and lumped in as part of “the salary cap”. It’s all going.

I agree. However, if we win promotion, there is absolutely no need to squat and cough for another championship side. I still believe we sold Dickie for less than his true market value and I would hope that the club recognise just how good Atkinson is right now and how much better he will be in the months and years to come.As Money talks
Top Championship Club or lower tier Prem Club could put in a bid of 2.5 /3 million
You are naive if you think we can hold onto ( and you are right) one of the best Centre Halves coming out with the ball that this club has ever seen
If we can see how good he is there will be scouts watching him already he is not long for OUFC
Maybe we can hold onto him until Jan but the best case would be sell him and loan him back for a season
He's definitely on the radar of a few Championship clubs but is still seen as very raw. I think some clubs may think that a bid of £1m would give us an instant return, but we are looking way beyond that. Because of his ability to drift past players, Atkinson is seen as more likely to fit into the PL and he could easily smash our transfer record in 12 months if he keeps developing his game.
Absolutely nothing to do with it..it was a well struck shot with power, nobody was stopping it.Eastwood was caught out of position for the first goal appealing for handball when their bloke cut in to score, apart
from that the first half was shocking, we would have lost to Oxford City reserves on that display, Taylors penalty miss may have changed things, then hitting the bar and post
we don't see them in training every daySo on that ^^ what did Robbie Hall do to earn his start last night and recent place on the bench?
