Current Player #39 Gatlin O'Donkor

Another hat-trick today. When did we last have anyone on our books doing what he's doing (at any level)?

Goalscoring is inate - get him in the first team already ffs.

I'm sure some sage will be along in no time to explain how he's too young, his goals are all against kids or that we need experience to get us through - but we're talking about a team that started a crocked Baldock on Saturday, regularly play a half-hearted Bodin - and inexplicably loaned our best striker to a smaller club in the same division in January.

We literally have nothing to lose here.

GO'D IN.

Dexter Blackstock may have been the last? Don’t recall if he actually ever got any minutes in the first team?

Nope. He played a pre-season friendly against Spurs, but Southampton took him before he played a competitive game.

We had a lad (can't remember his name though) score near 30 iirc when we were in the Conference and he got released. Went to Stevenage, again iirc, but didn't make it with them and dropped into Conf South and the level below.

Norman Sylla.

Jerome Anderson?

"Gatlin isn't physically strong enough for League One, he needs a Conference loan"

Is that the same GO'D that absolutely bullied Aden Flint (him of 500+ pro appaerances - mostly Championship)?
Superb hold up play, great touch, super work-rate. Bit of luck in the final third and he bags a winner.

Start every remaining game please. PLEASE.

It depends, he needs to keep offering for the ball like he was doing today and the team needs to play with two attacking wingers putting the balls in. We do that, then yes by all means start him with Browne and Joseph either side. If we revert to f*cking the ball at him neck high then forget it.

True. He was playing far in advance of his years today in the manner he brought other players into the game with intelligent passes. We need to bin Wildschut and Murphy and play with GO'D and Joseph as a pair (imo).

Made a world of a difference today. We had a focal point, he had the beating of the defenders and he offered a threat.

He made some pants decisions though especially with the pull back to Joseph.

Plenty to admire regardless.

He did very well and made a difference when he came on.
Really good strength for an 18 year old.
Poor decision when he should have played Joseph in, but he has really improved this season and has huge potential

He was superb when he came on couldn't have asked anymore from him the decision not to pass was a mistake but he's young he will learn from that him and Joseph caused problems

An excellent prospect with bags of potential.

Who should be learning the game and scoring a few goals in the Conference, rather than banging about in a L1 relegation scrap and missing chances / making bad decisions when we can’t afford it.

Cue people losing their s**t.

Well I doubt it.

I don't think any rational supporter would disagree that he should be learning his trade at a lower level.

We just don't have anyone less likely to miss chances and make bad decisions.

But you knew that.
