2 different conversations.

Has he been doing a great job for Oxford United this season? No. Should he have lost his job? Probably.

But…. Does he deserve enormous credit for the turnaround in performances and results? Yes.

It’s the same recycled irony we seem to have every day. One minute he’s got too much control, does it all himself and he’s dragging us down. Then when things pick up he’s somewhere in the background??

Come on… Can you hear yourselves??? Contradictions everywhere you look! So childish.
To be fair most people do the same, the manager is only as good as his results. Some of the big KR supporters have even turned in recent weeks, but suddenly a couple of results and they are slinging the mud again at those who more strongly have criticised what’s been happening. It’s pot calling the kettle black over and over and contradictions all round in fairness.

Just shows how much this is a results business and everyone’s mood is lifted on a Saturday or midweek when the team win.

COYY

Football is a results business

Results improve and people's views change

Who'd have guessed

Great result, shame about conceding a goal but, is this a new style of play? All these niggly fouls, yellow cards, talking back to the officials, players going down for weak challenges/fouls - doesn't sit well with me. We don't like it when other clubs do it.

Ian Evatt's info page:

A fine picture of him.

But then again you could say no it wasn’t to the original comment that was playing the Nan and not the ball also

Poor Grandma. :)

The poster refused to give any credit to KR for the win at that point making a ridiculous claim it was down to Mous and then when challenged doubled down. Scotchegg was right it was pathetic.

The results have earned him a bit longer, as they are the only things that matter. Great result today, on top of the point against Pompey it’s been a much improved two games.

We have still started badly, a bad start that has derailed another season, absolutely nothing commendable about that at all so the improvements need to continue, we have a shite home record recently, haven’t put a good run of results together so with Fleetwood at home on Tuesday and then a winnable but potential banana skin FA Cup tie next weekend he will rightly be judged on results still, at the end of the day no one really cares about the off field stuff we just want to see us win games.

Just going to enjoy a Saturday night after an unexpected and very good win, not been enough of them lately that you can afford to do otherwise.

It was a good result today, not pretty, but well done Robinson. Doesn’t detract from the fact we had players playing out of position, a limited bench (does Jones actually travel or is he just a name on the team sheet, cardboard cutout maybe…) and have signed, on perceived to be high wages, injury prone players such as Murphy, Baldock, et al. Even if we were in the play-offs by December, I wouldn’t trust Robinson in the next, or any other transfer market. He has taken us as far as he can and whilst I am pleased for him and the team today, after the summer transfer debacle, i am still in the ‘we need someone else’ box.

This view doesn’t mean I’m blinkered not to give credit when credit is due - today being such an occasion.

We are not “footballing” ourselves to any thing other than a relegation battle with this team, glad he has seen sense and started playing to our strengths.

If he is still here come January hopefully he will look to bring in a couple of players who can add to this, better right back, strong midfielder and a target man, not turning this team into Guardiolas Barcelona in a winter transfer window but with a few astute signings we can become better at what we do.

Look at Rotherham they went up cause they was a powerful side not great passing

‘Some’ peoples views might have changed, plenty of others haven’t. Yet.
We’ve taken 8/18 points in October, no one should be carrying the manager shoulder high through the city centre just yet.

And no one is.

Just acknowledging that wins at Exeter and Bolton, a draw at Portsmouth and a narrow defeat against Peterborough is a significant improvement and something to hopefully build on.

Don’t agree he can be belligerent on many occasions credit has to be given to everyone today or does KR speak and not listen?

Three posts later, you tell someone not to be childish......
And so they should go away read other posts of theirs and not just the one I replied to and you may understand why I said go away……
