Yep, ‘the model’ has been switched back on again.

And this is one of those positions filled ahead of the season starting too.

Welcome Max. Exciting signing this and as others have said looks to be a return to the model that worked so well before. Also it's always impressive when a teenager is willing to move halfway across the country, it's a big step for him so he must back himself. I don't expect him to be starting anytime yet but look forwards to seeing his development.

On the face of it more good work from Waldron and co. The fact Manning will know him from spending some time at Liverpool also bodes well.
