Current Player #25 Will Goodwin

Really pleased with this signing. Can’t remember the last time we poached a promising young player from our division for a fee. Six goals in that Cheltenham side this year is nothing to be sniffed at, and he passed the eye test and then some against us. Seems like he’s a player on the up after a slow start to life at this level, and his best days are still to come. Apart from anything, an immediate upgrade on GOD for the second half of the season and allows us to play a bit more horses for courses going forward.

Also especially nice when you win a bidding war, especially with a club as (present woes aside) attractive at this level as Charlton.
 
Seems like when he’s fit he’s a fairly prolific scorer. 6 goals from 1039 minutes of league football this season which means he averages a goal every 173 minutes. Excited to see if him and Rodrigues can form some sort of partnership.
 
We've signed a real prospect on a contract that is a minimum of 2 1/2 years plus a further year option, and we've got people stressing that he might miss a couple of games this month!

I'm glad that our backroom team are looking to get players fit to make an impact for the rest of the season rather than rushing them into games then losing them for months.

No one’s ‘stressing’ about Goodwin missing a few games, but if Harris gets injured and no one else chips in with the goals, where are they coming from? Hardly stressing is it, it’s bleeding obvious we still need another striker, now. Let’s hope Harris keeps banging them in and stays fit.

Only 3 teams have scored more goals than us this season. Not even top of the league Pompey have scored as many goals as us so we clearly have players that can score goals.
You seem to be trying to find negatives that aren’t there.
