I take your point and respect your view but just don’t agree; to say Morph is a ‘person’ of colour, and to then say that linking that character to a black player is racist is stretching it. Pun intended. And Wiki has him as ‘terracotta’.Exactly that
Fullback/s will be loans, Murphy and Jones to be confirmed on Tuesday. Sinclair is a back-up if other targets don’t come through, will be a short-term contract similar to Bodin last year if it’s offered.
I never got the slagging off of Jerome Sinclair on this forum. When he played for us before, I thought he was a really good standard L1 player. Doesn't score as many goals as he should, but he's got a lot of talent. And he's only 25. If he really wants to play pro football again, sign him up. He's only going to get better if he's fit and motivated.I think with Sinclair it's sometimes better the devil you know. He's an unattractive proposition for most clubs but KR knows his character and somewhere in there is/was one of England's most exciting forwards at youth level (he may even have been in the same youth team as Brannagan?). He's unfit, probably lacking confidence and perhaps even lost a little bit of hunger for the game so there is huge room for improvement - but we don't know the circumstances and Watford are not exactly the pinnacle of well-run football clubs and their management of players leaves a lot to be desired. We know KR is very committed to developing players and takes that on with pride - and he's good at it.
My view is if Karl and his team mates believe he is committed to the cause and his attitude is right, he could be a real asset to our squad at an affordable price. We're going to need a couple of 'affordable' options to offset the spend on the likes of Murphy who was on £28k a week at Cardiff. It's obvious to everyone he won't reach his previous heights but if we can restore him to a high level League One striker or dare I say, capable Championship striker, then it's not bad business. He's got better each time he's played in pre season when I've seen him and if he continues that between now and Xmas, he could be key for us in the 2nd half of the season, who knows.
Looking back Love thy neighbour and Rising Damp were utterly racistBloody stupid thing to have said. Someone puts a picture of a brown cartoon character that doesn’t speak, and only makes silly noises, and it’s deemed racist. Stop the world I wanna get off!
How the hell did people feel years ago about tv programmes like “Love Thy Neighbour” Rising Damp etc.
Great days back then.
I agree it was, but you had a choice whether to watch it or not, it just seems the smallest little thing get criticised these days. Travesty!

Like for instance, a couple of weeks without a signing?
Gino Van Kessel was fit and motivated, perhaps we should have kept him as he was only going to get better... Oh and he had a better goalscoring recordI never got the slagging off of Jerome Sinclair on this forum. When he played for us before, I thought he was a really good standard L1 player. Any chance the full backs will be signed before Derby? No mention from me regarding a big bid going in for a striker.
Tottenham lad on loan at Northampton and Cheltenham last year is someone we are interested in on loan. And an experienced striker permanently. But think a loan option will be most likely at this stage, with Baldock hopefully back at the end of September.
Still expect Jones to be signed. Robbo sounded confident on Murphy.
I think 3 in this week.
If we sign him, that leaves us with Browne, Windschut, Murphy, Jones (presumably) and Rak Sakyi for the wide positions. Unless Browne is going to be used more centrally if we move towards the 4-2-3-1 formation.Looks like we are now favourites to sign the Crystal Palace winger now MK have backed out..

Oxford United making transfer moves ahead of Derby County opener
Latest Derby County news from DerbyshireLive brings you a transfer update from Oxford United ahead of Championship opener this weekendwww.derbytelegraph.co.uk
according to that jm has signed?
right winger for Palace's youth team the last couple of years. I'd say we're light on that side as Jones is realistically not going to start more than 25 games - we'd love that to be more, of course. But a younger whipper snapper to share the role with him could be great. His goal record suggests he could do a job up top as well. He's a left winger, I would have thought with Wildschutt, Murphy and Browne we're now also overloaded on that side?
