It’s going to be Hard game!
Just showed his passion and how much he caredAs an aside, Karl Robinson just got sent off 15 minutes into his first Salford game.
You really shouldn't be hard on yourselves, that team you played today had 10 million pounds of summer signings in it ,it's a team nearly at full strength missing 2 players we paid 13 million for .
We were oxford , trying to get up , and eventually you will get up ,staying up first season is key ,ignore the anomaly that is ipswich look more Rotherham, us , Wednesday ,we signed 2 players for 2 million and sold them for 35 million and the result of those sales is most of the team you played today costing just under 25 million , the 4th highest transfer fees in the league behind the parachute payment 3
Find a style , buy young and hungry cheap or free, add 3 or 4 experienced players to your spine , keep them together and keep going
Having mark robins helps
This is a good point. Robinson, for good or bad, seemed to have a lot of oversight and control of the playing side strategy, but now Des is left to muddle along in very challenging circumstances there isn’t anyone focusing on the broader vision. Makes us look like a property company with a bit of sport on the side.
Yes, would be nice to hear from @Colin B at this stage to hopefully get some reassurances?Exactly. Perhaps it's dawning on all of us as to the real priorities and intentions of our owners.
Imagine how bad things would get if they lost their appetite for the property side of the operation.
Exactly. Perhaps it's dawning on all of us as to the real priorities and intentions of our owners.
So what did you think their intentions were from the outset then?
Well there's not a lot of opportunities at the triangle, compared to what was in the offering at Stratfield Brake. To me it must of put a bit s bit of a spanner in the works .Exactly. Perhaps it's dawning on all of us as to the real priorities and intentions of our owners.

Obviously their involvement in OUFC hinges heavily on the deal to relocate.
I'm suggesting that perhaps there's a dawning realisation that the owners are having doubts about their level of investment in the club.
Just playing devil's advocate.
They’re not bang average though, they’re rather good.Derby and now Coventry have shown what a gulf in class there is between a bang-average Championship side, and one aspiring to be one.
We have four players in the squad who could hold their own at that level. And those that think we will buy 5/6 quality players this January are up with the fairies.
It will take another year before we rid ourselves of the mess KR left us in.
Doing Coventry a disservice there, I thought they were an outstanding side.Derby and now Coventry have shown what a gulf in class there is between a bang-average Championship side, and one aspiring to be one.

So do I, it’s frightening really to look at the gap that we need to close.Doing Coventry a disservice there, I thought they were an outstanding side.
Yep, but hang on you will be told we are a work in progress side.So do I, it’s frightening really to look at the gap that we need to close.
I think that is a given for sure.
It can’t also be lost on people that the switch to the triangle drastically changed the business plan and economic viability, so yes, more than likely doubts and concerns creep in as to investment risk.
But one thing is for sure, a ground in itself will not bring success, so they either need to be in in or out out, with no half measures.
Time for a significant uptick in communication/presence from our owners, as belief seems to be waning and frustrations increasing.
What we really need is our very own David Fishwick. Someone who oozes energy, enthusiasm and philanthropy, who stood on the OUFC terraces as a kid. Alas, we don’t have one
How likely do we think it is that the board take heed of our concerns and criticisms, and swiftly bring about a sea change in the way they view the importance of transparency and communication?
I won't be holding my breath.
I'm increasingly concerned that, as you suggest, they don't see a workable business model with the stadium based at the triangle. My grave concern is that the mood music coming from the Niall McWilliams rumours are confounded, and that the owners are essentially looking for an out now.
