Do you think Longy is as good Moore at centre back?
I think he’s probably better at moving the ball quicker and offers more pace, but not sure if he’s as good as Moore defensively, in terms that Moore seems to cut that cross out with either his head or feet ensuring the ball goes for a throw in etc, so can then re-group. So I guess they both have their pros & cons.

For tonight though, if possible I’d go with the same starting line up as Saturday, with Moore and Brannagan coming in on the bench, if fit enough of course. For me this just gives Moore & Brannagan more time to recover, plus rewards those who came in and played extremely well on Saturday. And if Moore & Brannagan are 100% fit, then they can always come on if required e.g. if things aren’t working out or players are feeling it after Saturday’s game, plus with another game in 3 days time!!

Huge game tonight but Lincoln definitely not going to be pushovers. Can tell they are gonna be a hard team to break down so I'm gonna say an unbelievable atmo from the fans, a scrappy, tense game and a 90th minute thunderbastard from Gregly to win it 1-0. Its what April nights are made for!

Des keeps outperforming my predictions and hope he continues to do so. Much as I would love four more without response Lincoln will be a hard nut to crack. Unlike Posh, Lincoln HAVE to win.

Oxford United 2 - Lincoln City 1.

1,685 home seats left at 1.00pm.

That means home seat sales of 7,869. Add in boxes (250) & Lincoln (1100+) and we are at just over 9,200 in total, so the attendance should be in the region of 9,300-9,400 this evening.
Very good - and a few more on Friday night I reckon.

could be a few more with extra walk ups this eve?

Isn’t this the club we’ve won at twice by 6-0?
Let’s get over the line and hope we can get Goodwin fit for the upcoming big games
We won 6-0 at Lincoln on 21 September 2019 and 6-0 at Crewe on 10 April 2021, both being record margin away League wins. (The 7-2 win at Gillingham was on 29 January 2022). All three were Good Wins.

I do find it annoying when the previous threads are locked, so I've copied my post on the Match Build Up thread below to give some context to my latest post.

So at midnight last night we were at 7,750 which means really good sales of 450 for the day. We've now surpassed the Bolton attendance with a day to go and also the box sales to add in. I'll stick with my 9,200 total for now, but may move it upwards as today's sales progress.
A handful short of 8,050 home GA sales as of just now, so 300 sold, so far, today.

Add in the 1,100 that Lincoln have sold, and a conservative 250 for boxes (as it's a re-arranged midweek game I won't add the full 290 in) and we're currently at 9,400. I'll be disappointed with anything less than 9,500 now, and should expect about 9,700 but it wouldn't be the first time the figures didn't quite tally on a midweek game.

Went past the George Littlemore at 3:30 .....a coach load of lincoln waiting outside for it to open.

From the Imps forum

If you're going to the match tonight, makes lots of noise. I'm sure the lads appreciate it and it can make a massive difference. Don't think Oxford have much vocal support.

Could be the highest ever league attendances on a Tuesday night at the Kassam.

I believe 9685 against MK dons in 2022 holds the record.

9404 v Macclesfield in 2010 is the next best.

3-1 home win.

A tense last 10 mins, and Lincoln pushing for a result, but a breakaway goal to wrap it up from Murphy.

Goodrham to score tonight also.

Not been this nervous/excited for a game since probably Blackpool home leg in the last playoffs, even further back when I actually could go to watch one.
