Robinson is a clown

Interesting that the teams who are flying pretty much kept their squads together from last year and so have game time together in the tank. I maintain this is what we need if we are to challenge, and this year will be one of consolidation. Either that or sign outstanding loanees who play great together, stay fit, and can get you up (given you would need to upgrade again in a higher league anyway). We have tried that - its always a tough bag to get the right mix - and been "unlucky" again both with their injuries (and form). We dont have any strikers and are too reliant on them creating space for midfielders.

Our approach reminds me of a horse trainer I know in France. He took trotters from the bigger stables which had won previously but then had become dogged with injuries, and tried to nurse them back to health. One or two made it and won again, but then seemed to be moved on by their owners to a bigger stable so he saw little long term benefit. Most blew up through the race and were just a cost for months, until they looked like coming back and the same happened again.

In the end, he got so fed up of them performing so well on the training ground but not on matchday, that he started jockeying them himself. Lets hope our boys stay fit enough and start to play as a unit so that we dont see Shaun Derry leading the line.

COYY - Things can only get better (starting today)

eerrr! Peterborough are flying and changed nearly their whole squad, something like 18 players out and 16 in.

Sorry guys meant Holmes. Not sure what I was thinking there but was interrupted mid typing by the wife to go to B&Q.

For the sanity of fellow forum members, please refrain from using words like "wife" and "B&Q" in the same sentence. Actually, In the same year would be even better ?

Clough : "I think the teams that have started so well have traded well in the summer - Peterborough United, Portsmouth, Barnsley hardly lost a player.
"They are the sort of settled teams that have started the season well with a few victories and the confidence that brings."

Your point being?

Not that I particularly believe Robinson is anywhere near the sack, just wanted to put up the latest from Oxbible.

Like him or not, he's been ahead of the curve on some ocassions, and I can believe that KRs attitude at times would harm our reputation. I can't believe that Kluivert would be back in the frame though.

He's been right sometimes and wrong others. I actually believe he's got a few sources but they use him for their own gain and nothing is 'leaked' without thought.

Robinson won't be sacked. But if he were, then they'd only be one man for the job. :)

Who is Oxbible? How is he/she/it able to make such statements? Is it all made up to make mischief or does this person have the ear of the owner and speaking for him in terms that the owner himself couldn't possible make public? This anonymous scandalising worries me. It needs to stop.

Well Tiger has liked the post which is wholly inappropriate. If he’s liked it because it’s not true and he finds it ridiculously funny then he should at least comment to say so

Odd that Tiger's worried about recent form when we've won 2 and played the league winners off the park at theirs.

The only way to stop this sort of thing is to pull the plug on internet.

I don't do twitter. Can someone who does ask Tiger why he liked Oxbible's tweet and does that imply it's true and that Oxbible is speaking for Tiger?

I will go with this being 110% horseshit!! Aside from those at the games, who would even know, or care about a manager getting a yellow card or one of his assistants getting sent off? And would that really impact on those wanting to invest? Get real. I am sure Tiger is still bouncing around think of investment opportunities from the Man City game, or looking at making huge profits on Baptiste or Whyte, or worrying about the League position, or washing his hair! Whatever he is thinking, I will put my house and all future earnings on the fact that he couldn't give a toss about Derry getting told off!!!

So why did he like Oxbible's tweet?

Stop feeding the troll, you are doing the job for him by spreading this rubbish.

Did Tiger really like the tweet?
If so that would be outrageous.

Having got back from Sunderland yesterday after an extremely enjoyable weekend, which the visit to the SOL was indeed an eye opening experience, I would be surprised to see Tiger coming over for tonight’s game. Tiger missed what could prove to be the best away experience this season, in a fantastic stadium with 33,000 fans cheering their teams on, but would be happy to come along to a game with less than a 10th of the attendance, in a minor cup competition, don’t make sense to me.

Unless he's coming over for some other reason
