April - Initially recruitment was to be done early with agents being spoken to, with an already planned World Cup taking place. This then became the reason things were being delayed?

August - we are still 4 players short of a full squad, according to KR, after sitting around for 2 players to decide where they will be next season. Since when have we been held to ransom like this, eggs in one basket, and all that.

Maybe the Irish meeting, that seemed to be hastily arranged, is a factor in goal posts being moved by the chairman.

Can it be explained where the recruitment team, whoever they are, fit into players being identified. Or does KR know who he wants.

At the moment who knows exactly what the strategy is, because there has been little consistency through the summer. I can’t believe KR would have wanted obika to be his solo striker, days before the season starts. In which case what has gone wrong.
With 4 days to go to the first game, and 9 until the window closes, someone please take the bull by the horns and get things over the line.

You wanted our season ticket money, you have it. Now give us a squad you promised us, that will be there or there abouts come May. COYY.

My thoughts exactly, very underwhelming and guess people will dress it up but majority of our signings are loans, too much chat and not enough action from the manager, we NEED to start getting deals done and over the line PDQ!!!
 
Doesn't matter, as soon as the "truth" comes out some people won't believe it anyway...
 
Their leader may have been exiled, but the Meth-head's negative PR campaign had succeeded in turning a small number of fans into irrational, whining moaners. The Meth-head council were quiet, waiting for their moment to pounce. What thing could they desperately jump on next?
For now, the Moonshiners stood strong. They knew the majority of fans are sensible people, however at the back of their minds they knew that even a single competitive defeat would be a test. Could they keep strong and stay rational when rationality is disappearing around them?

Er … It is not like going down local Sainsbury's and buying a bottle of white wine!!!
Just because KR wants a certain player, that player needs to want to come to the club.
He might like the club but may not want to move his family to oxford.
He might be contracted to another club, if so permission is needed from that club.
Terms need to be agreed.
Other clubs might offer him slightly more and over the market value, so quite correctly we drop out and move on.
There are 1001 reasons why KR's plan might not go to plan.
I'm sure come next week most positions and type of players KR wanted will have come and 90% of the plan will have worked.
 
Lots of bigger clubs at the level we are at, lots with more to spend.

It's really not hard to work out its difficult to close some of these deals. Then again if we don't win every game by at least 3 goals we are doomed you know...
