I think we're going to spend some money to combine the parts of our broken players which actually work into some sort of Frankenstein player. Can't think what else that could mean.Unless 'being creative' is code for signing full-backs, I don't understand what Karl means here. Can anyone enlighten me?
Bringing in someone who’s really good at another sport and trying to convert them?I think we're going to spend some money to combine the parts of our broken players which actually work into some sort of Frankenstein player. Can't think what else that could mean.
Yep I heard thatShocked no one has mentioned one of Karl’s comments in his Radio Ox interview.
“We was possibly signing a new player last week but I stopped the deal as he’s been injured the last 6 months”
No joke
Is nobody going to address the elephant in the room..? ‘About a third of our budget on players who are injured’Unless 'being creative' is code for signing full-backs, I don't understand what Karl means here. Can anyone enlighten me?
Sounds like Todd Kane maybe.Shocked no one has mentioned one of Karl’s comments in his Radio Ox interview.

I think everyone knows who's at fault here but to many with tinted glasses on at the momentI think people need to take a step back and get some perspective. Have the likes of Ipswich, Portsmouth, Peterborough, Plymouth and Sheff Wed had as chaotic a summer and shambolic start to the season as us? If not, why not? Is it really all down to bad luck or bad management?
Probably bolloxShocked no one has mentioned one of Karl’s comments in his Radio Ox interview.

Try againFrom what I’ve heard the recruitment team are giving Karl quality options however he keeps being indecisive and we miss out on players who would help the team in a major way
Yes, I wasn't impressed with his attitude today. I'm sure if he wanted, he could have really changed the game. He looked more interested in having fight than actually getting on the ball and scoring. One things for sure, don’t fancy signing Stockton. One good season for Morecambe doesn’t mean he’s the answer. Reason why championship clubs aren’t willing to part with the cash to sign him.
if 3-5-2 is to be our formation then we need:
RWB
LWB
DCM
ST
Problem is we have too many wingers for that…
Not at the moment, we don't!
If Jodi Jones can't even come on as a sub (and for whatever reason, KR clearly doesn't seem to think he can), we have a sum total of about 20 minutes football league experience available on the wings at the moment!
Sign the four positions you mention, and we'd be well set for 3-5-2. Frankly, we could cope without the DCM in that formation because McGuane and Cam Bran (with Gorrin & Bate as backup) are fine as a midfield two in front of a big and powerful back three. And we've got plenty of players who can play the #10 role, some of whom are even fit.
If the wing backs you sign can also play as regulation full backs, then if Murphy, Wildschut & Browne ever do come back at some point this season, then we would be able to revert to a 4-3-3 or similar.
But at the moment, our two best players are CMs, we have four decent CBs for a back three, and we have two fit strikers.....so we may as well play to the few strengths that this squad does have.
