Golding needs to go out on loan, got caught quite a few times on the wrong side last night, still got quite a bit to learn, dont think he is quite ready to step up just yet, give him another year then see.

Depends how quickly he learns. A loan isn’t always the answer because his weaknesses may only be exposed by a better quality player at a higher level. Whenever I’ve seen him he’s handled himself well and looked better than before. I think there’s a role for him in the squad but if he is going to be a right back, I’d like to see a CB in the door and vice versa. I’m not precious about the exact positions but I think we’re 2 bodies light in defensive options.

A week ago we had some posters saying that Dan Harris left because of Robinson not giving youngsters a chance. Now with have those saying that Golding isn't good enough after one average performance in a new position against a Championship side.

I'm not against Goodrham or Golding going out on loan, as long as they are the right loans at a decent level to continue their development. But equally, I'd be happy with them remaining part of the squad as I think both are good enough to step in when required.

I don’t think we’ve got the squad depth to be seriously considering Goodrham or Golding for loans. Even if we get 3 more through the door all it takes is a couple of hammies to pop and we’ll be scratching for cover again.

Barring an absolutely calamitous season that ends in relegation, I think Karl Robinson is as safe as any EPL manger can be.

The owners don’t strike me as especially volatile. Yet.
Even with the expectation of Champonship football, after potentially spending a great deal of money this window? These people are millionaires, so are no mugs when it comes to wanting/getting success.
I would imagine they take the same line with kr as they do with any manager that works for them when it comes to targets.

With Golding it's not just one performance, he struggled second half against one of the championship sides in the friendlies.
Its what benefits them long term development wise. Both Goodram and Golding would benefit from weekly football, to build on where they are at the moment, maybe with recall clauses in case of injury.
Far more beneficial for them than simply attending training and the odd friendly game through the season.

Given that Golding did well under Andy Whing at Banbury, who got promoted and so are now at a higher level, wouldn’t it make sense for him to go back there for a season? He’s only young so it would still be progression for him but in an environment that we know he can flourish in

Edited for you

It seems like the club are really pushing for it this season from a financial perspective. Considering how much he has been backed this summer, do we think this could be KR's last season if we fall short again?

Yes. That and Bakrie said a year ago that he wants promotion in 2 years.

Right you know I like chucking names in the hat tonight it's tariqe fosu would we be interested in resigning this lad he's barely featured for Brentford since they got promotion

He's only on about £25,000 per week.

I'm sure he'd welcome the leap from Premier League squad member to League One first team regular.

I don't know. I like him but not sure he's the WOW factor that KR was alluding to in the interview last night. Also, can we afford his wages?

On the plus side nobody has bid 15m he's also. not a first team regular

His words, as reported by the Oxford Mail in an interview about the new stadium were "If we can go up in these two years that would be ideal", so more of a wish than a demand I'd say.
Watch the full interview on BBC where he says it’s an important part of the stadium proposal.
