Oh I agree there was any much we can do, but we should of been prepared for this moment, and we knew long ago, about Blackpool’s interest. So it will be interesting to see how KR goes about finding a replacement.

Good Luck to Cam, he owes us nothing, and has been very professional and a solid servant. He deserves a crack at the Championship.
How do you know they aren't prepared you absolute melt!?

r 4 signings before Saturday?! You've seen the OUFC transfer machine in action right?

Horrifically slow when it comes to getting people in..weirdly never seems to have the same problem getting people out for cash. Funny that.

You mean the transfer machine that has signed the likes of Brannagan, McNally, Atkinson, Murphy, Findlay etc?

Sometimes the club need to manage PR and know what they're doing.

Scenario 1 : Bring in player for reasonable transfer fee then announce prize asset leaves club for £1.5m following McNally out the door.

Scenario 2: Sell prize asset then few hours later announce huge signing with big transfer fee

I think second scenario would go down better with a pitch-fork wielding fanbase. (NB: Obviously other scenarios, like sell prize asset and bring in crock free transfer or 10th winger)

Playing Henry as a CM is asking for trouble. Hasn’t got the legs to cover the midfield now and isn’t able to track back as a subsequence. He’s an out and out CAM who stays forward with the two wingers either side tracking back if we play a 4231

Henry is no slower than he was before as he has always been on the slower side so his game is built around it. And he has played central midfield for us plenty of times.

Mcguane & Smyth? Gorrin for 60 minutes and then bring Smyth on? Just two of the options available.
I think we have to start with 3 in the middle with one of those being Henry for his experience. He's very very good at covering when players go forward, he reads the game well which will help Mcguane. Smyth, Mcguane, Henry is probably as solid as we'll get for Derby.

Edit: As mentioned above, Henry isn't the quickest but his reading of the game allows him to cope fine in a midfield 3, not so much in a midfield 2.

Supremely bad timing on Cambran for the club.
Don’t wish him anything but the best, but we are trousered down spanked by this Late late transfer. Saturday looms ominously large.

I got a good idea, let’s start name calling at posters, because we throw a wobbly because a key players leaves. Very mature!

Players come and go, and no player is bigger than the club. We pocket the cash and move on.

Same as others, I’m gutted about this. Although we all knew it would happen at some point, a couple of days before the season kicks off makes things even worse.

Cam has been one of my favourite players. It’s a shame he couldn’t get a promotion with us, as I think it’s fair to say he as an individual, deserved that.

But unfortunately there’s nothing we can do now except to get behind our beloved OUFC as always, starting with Saturday.

COYY 💛💙

Seen a couple of Blackpool fans say Thorniley could be part of the deal as well. Think that would be very astute if we can get him as part of the deal which means we could revert to the 3-4-1-2/3-5-2 we played towards the end of last season. Would give us 3 quality Cb’s & brown as a back up

It looks like this was out of the blue though, given his tweet yesterday.

Agreed. As part of a 3 I guess you can make his weaknesses negligible to a certain extent
