It’s ok for the fireman to continue there occupation though and fight raging infernos. Yet we can’t send a footballer to kick a ball about for 90 minutes. Oh come on.

I’m sure there will be drinks intervals in place for both sets of players during the two half’s.
Fires happen all the time, for many reasons. Not because of a once in a lifetime a solitary day goes 40’c

I’ve lived in this heat, and worked in it over a number of years. Regularly July/August when I was abroad it could go to 46’c. Take plenty of water, and hydrate yourself accordingly. Only a fool would allow himself to dehydrate, and turn in to a Beetroot.
Fires are actually quite a rare occurrence these days due to improved building/electrical safety. High temperature's definitely increase the risk of fires happening. Fire fighters spend more time attending road collisions than fires. Plus Beetroots take water well and as such I don't get the last sentence!

There is a lot though to be said for being fully prepared and gelled together. They got it so right last year, I genuinely cant see why they would take risks with their recruitment.

Because (like us), they are outgunned by the financial heavyweights in the division (Ipswich, Wednesday, Derby etc.) and can't compete directly with them for the top, proven League One/Championship talent. So they have to take risks on young talented players from lower leagues, Ireland and Premier League academies as well as players who are on the downswing a little bit that they hope they can revitalize.

And look, I'm all for signing 1 or 2 McNallys or Smyths every window. There's potentially massive value there. I just look at MK Dons' window and think that they've gone a little overboard on youngsters this year - and I'm not particularly impressed by the more experienced pros they've recruited to complement them. I'm still hopeful that we will do better when we eventually get our recruitment done!

What a ridiculous comparison.

Good thing is it's cooling down a bit tonight. Predicted to be 28 at 8pm, and the sun will be sinking behind the stands, so should be ok.

Trouble is the sun sets in the west and we only have a fence

Why are people so keen to pick apart a club who have done what they set out to do?
People are entitled their opinion.
There is no way on earth that MK set out to loae their best 3 players.
I would suspect that a lot if MK supporters are slightly more concerned about next season and whether they will be as good this time round than you seem to be

Stevens starts tonight, which makes me wonder what will happen with Mcginty. Is he going to come straight in as number 1 or get shipped out on loan?

I’d like to see the two young keepers stay, and Eastwood to leave, and that hurts saying it, because like I said yesterday,. He’s been a brilliant servant to the football club, but there comes a time when you have to part ways, and maybe we are getting to that point. Two young goalkeepers fighting for the number 1 jersey is ok by me.

10 days out till Derby County away.

Back 4 of - Forde, Mousinho, Brown, Seddon with Smyth holding.

Blimey.

It frightens the life out of me seeing Seddon at LB. Jesus Christ we need to strengthen across the back four, but more so the full back positions.

Only 10 more days of these tedious posts with a bit of luck!

What about 10 more days of over the top positivity. Both equal!

I think more and more of the happy clappers are leaning towards the negative camp a touch. Rightly so, because this has been a very poor window up to this point, and hopefully with the right structure in place, it shouldn’t happen again, and allow us to be better prepared.
