Would be a quality signing that would bring bags of experience however i think we have plenty of options in the middle of the park.

It is precisely because we love Oxford United that we question both the ambition and overall ownership..

Wasn't sykes played "mostly" on the wing last season? Keep in mind we do have bodin, brannagan, mccguane, gorrin as well as midfielders from the u21, i would love to see freeman at the club however i kust don't think it will be a position the club is prioritising i could be pleasantly surprsied however.

Henry is fine, but slightly injury prone. I think the jury is still out on McGuane. I’ve seen glimpses of him playing well, and he does tend to go missing at times during a game.

Because our focus is entirely on SB -i.e where our billionaire board get their cash back (plus the odd bonus like McNally)

Yes maybe. Which would be understandable. No ITKers have given us insights about our dealings or lack of, so we’ll just have to keep guessing.

I also forgot smyth too yeah i just think we have so many players in the middle of the park that it will be the clubs least concern, agree with henry, there to bring experience as for mccguane i was at the friendly today and in my opinion he wasn't great but granted it is the first pre season game

Agreed they had a transformatuonal drop off when brennan johnson & morgan rogers were recalled and to lose there manager who got them to the playoff final and now loae there captain! I think they could be in for a relegation battle this season.

We’re close to the overseas centre back. Hopefully this next week. A decent U21 left back from the Premier League on loan. If we can sign one of the two midfielders we’re trying, they’ll be a good signing. One is wanted by a couple of Championship teams, possibly training with one currently, a free agent who was in league 1 last season.
The other has played for a premier league team a couple of times last season, which will be a loan.
Jones will be signed on a pay as you play deal if impresses enough in the games. A deal like Bodin was on last season.
Whyte is available again, we’re interested in a perm. And another winger on loan.
Holland took less wages at MK than we offered.
And after a young striker on loan.

Can you give any detail on what sort of player the young striker is? Big/strong, small/quick etc, and likewise the midfielders... ball winner/ball carrier/ball player etc?
