Transfer News 2022/23 Season Incoming Transfers and a few other things

I'm not saying the players others teams are signing are specially players we might have been interested in bringing to our club but I do feel other teams are strengthening there team and our current team is not strong enough to fight for promotion. I'm sure we've got players lined up but it's quite concerning the team are in Spain From tomorrow and you'd kind of hope any important signings would be there aswel I'm starting to wonder whether it's KR that's the problem I wonder if certain players actually want to play for him or if he's to casual and not proactive enough for eg target 1 doesn't sign so we end up.witn target 4or5
I dunno really to be honest and probably just rambling i like everyone else just want some signings

Ipswich sign Tyreece John-Jules from Arsenal
Sheff Weds set to sign Michael Ihiekwe and Michael Smith from Rotherham

Sheffield Wednesday will do well to not get promoted with their signings.
Stockdale, Ihiekwe, Heneghan, Vaulks, Smith.
 
Man, I was quite excited when I came on here and discovered there were another ten pages on this thread.
Surely there would be a signing or two, or at least some juicy rumours......

......but nope, just another two hundred posts of 'Panic!!' vs. 'Keep Calm & Carry On!!'

Sigh.

Anyways, if we have turned down a Burnley bid for McNally, I'm pleased. I reckon the sky's the limit for him and if he improves more this season - which he surely will now he's got half a season under his belt - I reckon we should be looking to break our transfer record if we sell him. Of all the CBs we've had come through, he's got the highest ceiling because, added to the rest of his game, which is already very good, he's got that recovery pace.

Now, Now, you're assuming I felt he should have been given a chance this season, as I was concerned that this transfer window would be as much of a let down as others had been.:ROFLMAO::sleep:🤡
 
Still struggling to understand why people think the timing of the trip to Spain has any significance or gives us any reason to be nervous. It was probably booked around Christmas time before we even knew who was filling the seats from the existing squad let alone anybody new.

The fact there are no new signings by the time the plane departs bears no significance outside of the fact we know this was probably the cheapest week in pre season to go! And there is still a season to prepare for so if there are suggestions KR stay here to sign players rather than be out there with players already committed to the club, you’re more interested in a transfer headline than you are actually winning games next season.

The trip to Spain has distorted the importance of getting transfers in so early . Its only because the training ground is being improved therefore out of action.
If we were training as per usual I'm sure the clamour wouldn't be quite as bad .

Nope, would have been the same for me. Having players available for a full pre-season I feel is important no matter whether it's Spain or Horspath Road.

How many teams have you seen not sign anybody after pre season starts? 9/10 teams will sign someone after the full season starts. It’s not all about us.

And who’s to say we haven’t got new players out in Spain?

When have I ever claimed that the start of preseason is the absolute cut-off date for signings? Of course we'll be bringing players in, as no club ever gets all their business done before the first day of pre-season. But there's a big difference between not having all signings completed in time for pre-season vs none.

And judging by the interview Karl gave today, coupled with the reaction of a couple of ITKers, it hints that no secret players are ready to be announced for the Spain trip. Happy to be proven wrong though!

I would be surprised. Like most on here I would think that Oxford saw Holland as decent back up to Browne
Maybe he has joined MK with more chance of starting
Do you think that missing out on Holland is a big deal?
