Matches Plymouth Away - Sell Out?

Just arrived in Plymouth, booked into B&B and having a cuppa. Weather is fine at the moment.
If driving, watch out for speed cameras!

Gillingham in August/September or late April ok but its horrible on that uncovered terrace at other times of the year

Sunderland Accrington and Bolton poor but they are some distance and Accy on Tuesday, Bolton was mid August and holidays may have played some part, Sunderland was first of 3 consecutive away games and perhaps MK was the better option

Burton was the really poor one and not sure people were too bothered about the cup game

Also, Accy was really bad weather that day down here as well as up there iirc.

Devon, and indeed Plymouth, use the national limits. Hard to believe, eh.

There is an average speed section just after the end of the M5, start of A38.

Decided this morning to go to this one. Picked up my ticket from the ticket office this morning and carried on down to sunny Devon. Currently having a Branscombe Brewery Ale in a pub on the coast. Will sleep in the camper van tonight and do the final 50 miles in the morning!

That sounds great, if you like that sort of thing! You're practically Jack Kerouac!

Had to smile at a post on the Plymouth forum saying that Oxford away support doesn't travel well? However, up to Shrewsbury away and not including cup games like QPR we probably average just over 1000 away so far which to me isn't too shambolic considering all things equal.

As for myself I believe I travel reasonably well following Oxford, as the mileage put in so far this season to the away grounds and back I could probably get just past Mozambique if I started out on a like for like mileage travelled. Probably, those Devonairre's have straw for brains and pants too tight around their big B*****s.

Going from Paddington tomorrow am. Bet there’s a few yellows on board the train that’s bound for glory etc. Only 3 hours, that’s what it says on the ticket at least. Think we’ll do alright tomorrow; the rest will have done us good.

I can't think of any league 1 clubs with similar average home attendances that travel any better than us. Sunderland, Pompey, Wigan, Bolton, Rotherham, Plymouth, Ipswich, Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton all have bigger away followings than us but also have bigger home fans.

Maybe we should compare us to Mk to see if our away numbers are that bad?
Your home fans avg to away avg is 14%

Ours is around 11%.

Last tables I saw you averaged 1,073 away, any club taking 4 figures away can't be anything other than commended

What's going on? We seem to have a few decent opposition fans coming on here recently acting civilised and talking sense.

Maybe if we get into the playoffs the usual bellends will start appearing.

Hey Barrie, mate, please can you post the links to away support figures you look at? I love a geek-out over stats too, and haven't been able to find a website that shows other clubs and leagues away stats. I've previously bought a programme at away grounds in the hope that they publish the away numbers.

Cheers.

It won't surprise you to know I have the away figures too!

I'll dig them out and post them on here tomorrow, but I've a match to go to today.
