Ashley Smith-Brown

They can help us, we can help them. Good business. I'm proud that we are highly thought of to bring on these prospects. We all know our situation and this is how we try and better ourselves. Young promising loanees and young prospects to sell on. Youth is what has worked for us in recent years.

I wonder what's suddenly got us a Man City connection. Both these players are loanees so don't fit the model of signings we can develop and then sell on. Are we getting a new owner from the Middle East,? Sheikh Mansour? Is this all part of Harvey's plan for the Prem League to have B teams in the lower divisions of the EFL? Short term it's brilliant for us to get quality players on loan from Prem clubs. Long term, will OUFC still be an independent club in say 5 years time?

Yes I am also confident 2 loan signing mean we're gonna be Oxchester City in 5 years

"I’ve heard such good things about the club from Isaac and City were saying the same, so I’m delighted to be here."

Presumably no one has mentioned the 0-7 by the top team and the 1-2 by the bottom team......?

Anyway, good to have interest and hope the new double barreled one makes a great defensive impact.

We'd have to rebuild the Manor Ground and revert back to Headington United to fit back into the 1950s.
That's what a lot of fans keep going on about since we've moved. Moggy boy will make OUFC great again ;)

Fazackerley's contacts there more likely

Reading 1 of Man City's forum, they don't think he will get near their 1st team and will be sold on. His contract according to them finishes in 2019 so if he does well and is interested, this does have a chance of becoming a permanent deal.

But he has to do well for us this consider signing him

I sort of disagree with this comment.

Roofe was a loanee, he returned to WBA and we brought him back for a small fee. They same could be said for both the loanee's. Both are unlikely to ever play for MCFC's first team.

We tried with Jordan Graham and Conor McAleny. I'm hoping that the door will still be open for the both of them in the future.

We just need a decent inspiring manager to convince them to stay at the mighty Yellows!!

I appreciate he came in on loan to do a job but I don't see this lad as being the answer. Poor positionally, slows attacks down and a poor decision maker. Hope he proves me wrong and Robinson can get the best out of him but doesn't look like one to follow up with in the summer when Man City let him go.

I actually think he did ok today. Maybe we’re looking at scapegoats in the wrong areas?

Appreciate it will look like I'm scapegoating him after defeat today but I'm not - if anyone deserves that today it's Mowatt.

I haven't been impressed with Smith-Brown in all the games I've seen him, he just seems vulnerable. I'm struggling to recall any positive contributions he's made, he's hesitant when he goes forward and seems to like to check back and find a safe pass rather than keep the ball moving quickly.

He looks much more comfortable on his right foot to me. I dont rate him very highly.

Lost his man for the first goal and didn't really offer anything offensively. Ricardinho wasn't too much better, being at fault for their third. We'll probably need a new left back next season.

That said, thought Ricardinho was extremely unlucky for the third after that brilliant recovery

Eh, I felt like he got the first half of it right, but didn't get it away from the man. Should have got it clear after doing the first part but didn't.

I don't think ASB is on the same wavelength as the others, neither the two defenders next to him nor the attacker in front of him. Seems to make the wrong decisions far too often and is caught out with alarming regularity. New wing backs with a rapport with Dickie and Nelson absolutely essential next season.

Can’t see Nelson being here. Will walk at the end of his contract!
