International News Black Lives Matter

This is stark reading.

So what do you do with the Yusuf`s of the world?
Stop & search..... Oooo that`s "racist".
Lock them up.... "It`s how they live".
Let them die..... "It was their choice".

It`s not about folk kneeling on a football pitch or an F1 starting grid........... it`s about breaking the gang culture amongst young, black males.
Careful, Essex, this wasn't taken well when I mentioned this.

This is why I think it's done more harm than good. I agree with you on that, fair play.

That's kind of my overall point though.

It wouldn't have done any harm had certain people not been so desperate to be offended by something.

It also wouldn't have done if we left all this divisive nonsense in America in the first place though!

I've found the unwatch button, so I won't be drawn in again. Maybe there hasn't been any bullying but maybe because the majority on this thread are pro-BLM and identity politics it creates that impression. I guess I'm a working class Londoner so i'm more likely to have opinions in common with Millwall fans than Oxford fans on this.

You don't have the monopoly on being working class on this thread. 🙂

Pretty basic really "black lives matter" implies that currently black lives dont matter. That's not the case in the UK.

Even if that were the case why shouldn't UK residents be allowed to protest against racism in other countries?

Could he not do it in-house? Ask on a 1-1 basis. Why the news to publicly vilify people who choose not to take the knee? He knew what the traction of the press would be like. He hung them out to dry.
Lewis Hamilton has said that he will consider continuing to take a knee before races this season, and expressed his belief that ‘every driver had the right to their own personal choice’ after six drivers chose to remain standing before the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Hamilton has said that he has no problem with any drivers who decide against taking a knee, but stressed that he does not want to see the campaign for change to “die a silent death” – and as a result will consider taking a knee before the remaining races this season as a way of using his platform to speak out.’

And a direct quote: “So it was important for me to make sure I played my part this time and, moving forward, whether there is going to be an opportunity to take the knee, I don’t know. I don’t want it to be a case of people feeling forced. I want people to be excited to be a part of the change.”

So, it turns out Lewis Hamilton isn’t some kind of monster ‘vilifying’ those who chose not to take the knee. Turns out he’s probably a much nicer guy than the many people who are, for some strange reason, against him and the BLM cause...
