Home Match Day Thread 19/09/20 L1 - OUFC v Sunderland

Glad Karl’s being partially honest. I think we were lucky to be drawing 0-0 at half-time, and key players are not pulling their weight.

I do not like this new "I was not at the game" so I'm off.

Always remember win or lose up the U's

He didn't elaborate but Nathan mentioned something about being able to swap players out ..not exactly sure of what was meant but he also said no non league teams wanted Nico on loan cos he wasn't ready.

Very poor start to the season but I’m not concerned , a few players will be leaving , a few players will be joining us .A long way to go Robbo will sort it , Mark my words .

Well as you all know I can't stand Robyn's broadcast voice it's like nails.on a blackboard for me..so it's a no from me too. Plus why can't SK ever get our players names right..we have a Writtal with us apparently. Other metal windows are available.

Agyei is good for 10-15mins, but after that he tends to go wanting.

Nico Jones not ready for men's football, Oxford City won't take him. He's spoken to many other non league clubs who weren't interested. Therefore why put him in the match day squad?
Cos that's all we've got? Or maybe making a point to Tiger (Robbo did the same a couple of seasons ago I seem to remember)

After a few minutes to digest that tripe, we must look to be positive. We do have a very good squad, and do need to bring in a couple of players in key areas. Despite the poor start to the season, we are notoriously slow starters, but we still have ample time to address the problems we currently have.

We may be bottom, but I can safely say there are 4 poorer teams than us in this league. We will not finish in the bottom four, and any talk of us looking down the barrel of Lge 2 need to give there heads a wobble.

We are just so one paced at the moment, typical start to the season. We will probably (hopefully) pick up but the points you get at the start of a season are as valuable as the ones you get at the end, the slow starts have cost us the last couple of season.

Hopefully a couple of signings sort the balance of the team out.

IF we have the money to bring more players in, but not the room in the squad, then surely players need to be shipped out or paid off, to create spaces in the squad for players who WILL make a difference. Napa, Hanson, Long, Hall.??

I don't think he is making a point to Tiger as he has talked about a possible 3 players. The problem is the senior squad positions or lack of them rather.

Extremely harsh to mention Sam Long. I think he’s been fantastic, and was superb in most of the cup games last season against premier Lge opposition in particular.

The other 3 mentioned however I do agree with. I’ve not liked Hanson since he’s been here. Got to be one of our worst signings in recent times.

But he's gone from previously playing him up as a promising youngster, to completely throwing him under the bus. It should be kept in the dressing room surely?
