Poor game but I think it was never going to be a classic. Fair result in the end. I don’t think they can play any other way but we can. Roll on Monday. Now hopefully the carp are biting. COYY

I genuinely thought you would be in town tonight, with PM, winding up the locals. That, or sunbathing in the Azores or Cape Verde Islands

Will take a draw there, we were on the back foot for much of the game but the result is all that matters.

We didn’t look that fit, which is surprising for us. Hopefully if we can get through on Monday the weeks break and two more games in the legs will make us much sharper in the final.

The two centre backs were solid. Woodburn looked way off the pace. Henry was disappointing, seemed sluggish.

It will be interesting to see if Robinson makes changes in the second leg or not. I was surprised Kelly didn’t get a run out given he’s supposedly come back so much fitter.

Some of our players need to take a hard long look at themselves tonight If they want to progress, not just to the play off final, but life next season........
I am not going to name names however supporters watching and player’s playing know who needs to work harder.....
all in all, it’s up to us to sort it......

Overall very disappointed in Long, we need to replace as we have seen in previous matches can produce costly mistakes.

There's a reason why Ronan Curtis is the brightest star for a team chasing promotion, because he's a dangerous player. Long didn't get to grips with him in the first half (which wasn't helped with Woodburn's lack of defensive cover, leaving him 1v1 too often), but was much better in the second half. To say you're 'very disappointed' is an overreaction.

It seems that it takes a couple of games to sharpen up, and despite a lot of possession and pressure, Pompey didn't offer much more than we did. I would expect us to be able to push it up another few notches which should hopefully be enough to get the result we need.

And if (when) we get to the final, I would have always preferred Wycombe but we can't discount that performance tonight. Fleetwood had been in great form prior to the lockdown and Wycombe bullied their way past them. If its right that two bookings mean missing the final it is important that Brannagan and Gorrin keep control and don't put themselves in a position to miss a game.

Ok , A few things ....
We still are the best team In the play offs....

So I hope Karl's got them practicing pens this week, because I don't think there's anything between the sides.

Not surprising really, as we finished the season with identical records (our GD was a little better, because we were excellent at putting inferior opponents to the sword).

Their best player is a beast of a Centre Back - our best player is a beast of a Centre Back.

Their best attacking outlet today was a quick, skillful winger who likes a dive and has a bit of an attitude. Which is probably exactly how other teams would describe Marcus Browne.

They obviously were the better team for the first 30, but I thought we got it going and looked better either side of the half. The last half hour the game just petered out.

Really can't see there being much between the sides on Monday either. It's going to be a tense one.

Sorry to disappoint but it’s a damp lakeside setting just north of Fareham. As for winding up the locals saving that for Monday, hopefully. Nothing to celebrate yet.

Poor game but expected after a long break.

Sykes has to start next game instead of Woodburn.

Agree, Sykes has to start Monday.

Thought Ryan Williams looked dangerous when he came on, had the beating of Ruffels most times, so with Curtis on the left it looked worrying at times down the flanks.

When we got the ball down and actually played simple football we were more effective.

Felt Henry, Woodburn (Surprised he started), Taylor and Browne needed to do more.

Just hope our technical ability shines through in the end, but Pompey’s route one/more agressive style may cause us an issue.

Pompey are a good team and it was all about staying in the tie. After all the build-up I was worried we'd be 3-0 down at half time or something like that (a bit like happened to Fleetwood, who much have fancied their chances). The game passed by Woodburn who's been out for a long time. Sykes surely has to start on Monday. They were certainly targeting Long from the outset (which can make it seem like he's having a worse game than he is), but for the goal I thought he's correctly pushed the attacker to the goalline, Eastwood has to be disappointed. Likewise for our goal their goalie started moving the wrong way just before the shot, shouldn't be beaten at the near post from that distance.

Overall I think we probably dodged a bullet, could easily have been 3-1 to Pompey. I'll take it, roll on Monday!
