National News Covidiots.....

And there's your problem in a nutshell.

Too many people don't have common sense and so NEED clear, unequivocal messages from the government. Always was, always will be. The government knows this so why has it acted like it has?????
Left wing advocates return to "nanny state" shocker!

It doesn't have to be a left wing thing, though. A quote from the following article: ""When Australians feel there is reason for government to do what it wants, including the significant curtailing of freedom, they are more willing than not to let that happen."

I'm reading "Oliver's Travels" by Alan Plater, 1994. Chapter One sums it up: "Most of the world's ills, it seemed to him, were caused by men who believed themselves important doing things they believed to be important: on a good day it always ended in tears, on a bad day in global destruction."

Can you see alternate futures Bazzer? I think Corbyn was awful but I have no clue how he would have done and nor do you.
No we wouldn’t but if he had the U.K. would be in a worse situation with their handling of the coronavirus.

Yep.

One of them was when we were told to stay at home. The other was when we were told to stay alert and that we can use our common sense. Can you guess which is which?

These are the spreaders. It’s called herd immunity.
People travelling on buses, tubes, trains, working in factories, hospitals are the spreaders. Idiots.

Well that justifies Johnson being crap then.
He’s done well and he chancellor didn’t mess around he spent 339 billion to try and help this country. But they have eased the lockdown to soon and I fear there will be a 2nd spike and it will be worse.

My neighbour down the road, Ted. Severely compromised health but has been hosting socials in his garage with his idiotic friends because he's bored and lonely. But he won't listen to the health visitors or other neighbours asking him to stop because if catches it, he won't survive.

With all the people on the beaches, it's an unfortunate Petri dish for how COVID spreads in warm weather and a potentially unfortunate test of the 2nd wave. The fact people are defecating in public shows how intellectually deficient they are. Just idiotic.

So more people could die directly through a choice government have made and that still means they have done well?

Agreed. What I was trying to get at is that both at the start and now, the government have got themselves in a tangle which is causing them to make bad decisions. Every decision to trade off disease control against economy are misguided IMHO. Get the disease under control then repair the economy. This lot can’t work out which to do, and the result will be both yet more deaths and a tanked economy.
Yes. Boris and co are probably under pressure to appease their benefactors to get the economy moving.
Very rich people will be more worried about losing money than saving lives of a few thousand plebs!!

Very true. One message was clear and was fine. What we have had in the last few weeks are a mixture of 'woolly' messages that have given the more thoughtless members of our society the green light. Including the DC debacle!!
