Erick and the Election

With the total amount that these fella's have between them surely with that wealth they can bully old Gready bollix into selling the stadium and surrounding business, then let's go on a journey.

I appreciate that there still isn't a clear outline of their intentions, but at our level that is a pretty rich bunch to be holding the fort.

As we still have no assets as such to strip, the likelihood is that we could be looking at a lot more investment in our club to either cash in on promotion through the leagues or to profit from a new stadium. Exciting times ahead?
If that's the case, then why is everyone saying/expecting a much reduced playing budget next season? It doesn't make sense if they really want us to get to Championship.... or higher!

A. Because it would be stupid to say that you've got money to burn ahead of transfer windows.
B. They may be focusing on the stadium first.
C. We have seen a fairly decent return with our current squad and maybe massive spending isn't necessary right now.
D. They said the same or slightly less for next seasons budget. But this year included significant investment in the under 23's which won't need repeating so potentially more money for the 1st team.

hopefully if players like Eastwood are thinking of moving on, this lot might make them have a rethink
Or maybe they're bringing in David De Gea and Ederson which means Eastwood needs to move on to get game time ;). Come to think of it, De Gea isn't good enough!

A. So you think they are bluffing?

B. Short sighted isn't it, if we get the stadium but possibly relegated?

C. Loan players going back, and definitely need more decent players in key positions.

D. So the u 23s doesn't need new players each season to replace those offloaded?

I admire you constant, unequivocal positivity on every situation or statement.

On the U23s, we have replaced the players with the new professionals from the Scholars.

As has been suggested , the U23s are being replaced by players coming through the youth team.
I would guess that Dan Harris has a couple of other players from other clubs we are also looking to sign like Nico Jones

A. I have no idea, but it's always better to be underestimated when it comes to spending power.

B. Not financing a promotion challenge doesn't automatically equate relegation. It could be feasible to add wisely to the current squad rather than making wholesale changes, whilst also (maybe) giving us a new home.

C. Loans go, loans come in. Playere leave, players sign. No one is suggesting no business whatsoever.

D. As has been mentioned, many of our successful youth players will step into the under 23 team, and hopefully the first team. That is the whole point of developing the club from top to bottom.

Positivity is just a state of mind. We've had an incredible final quarter to the season, seen many players develop into excellent prospects, and have the richest boardroom in our history. Positivity should be easy right now!

Didn't we sign a full back to a Scholar contract released by one of the larger London teams?

From left to right:

Tovino Afiar - Appears to be a right-hand man of Erick's
Erick Thohir - extensively involved in entertainment, news and sports television channels plus digital platforms. Has owned several clubs/franchises.
Anindya Bakrie - Indonesian Media and Telecommunications entrepreneur.
Sumrith "Tiger" Thanakarnjanasuth - Nuff said.
Horst Geicke - entrepreneur, investor and patron in East and Southeast Asia, especially in Hong Kong and Vietnam
Pairoj Piempongsant - Former director of Reading FC. Involved in several European clubs.
Zaki Nuseibeh - London-based financier and investor
Pairoj is the main man, hasn’t he been here from the beginning!

Have we replaced them all? Most of the u23s got ditched, didnt they?
Not all no.
I believe that Aaarom Heap and Steven's were 2 of the U23s. Maybe there were others kept?

I think they were the only 2 but don't know what the case is with Manny Agboola. And from the Scholars the following off the top of my head have pro deals (either signed this season or last season):

Elechi
Lofthouse
McCreadie
James
Lopes
Spasov
Crooks

Likely that Nico Jones will follow as well. I may have missed someone though.

Edit: And of course we still have Tsun Dai.

Anyone know how much each of these dudes are financially worth? Thohir is obviously minted but the others?
