Well it's certainly *does* cause battery drain, whatever the reason (on my Android phone at least - I can't speak for anyone else). I can notice the quite marked difference. How?You can manually edit the postcode and it changes.

Ah yes and you can see venue check in history.Click on the App..... About this App .... scroll down to Manage my data.....Postal District - Edit.
