General Connor Wickham

Wickham likely to sign for Cardiff after being there during his latest ' rehabilitation ' after injury.
Recommended by Dean Whitehead and new Manager looks like happy with the short term signing.
Hope we decide to go with players currently on the books. We should have enough with the re-vitalised (irony intentional) Baldock, Murphy and Browne to get us through and on to another transfer window. No confidence at all that this will be markedly different from the recent shambles but I would be delighted to be proved wrong.

When the cavalry arrives in an ambulance you know you have a problem. Other than Wickham who is off to Cardiff anyway no one else out there even worth a look at though, its like you should do the job in the transfer window, like all the properly managed clubs.

Not Hodges. Equally prone to the sanctimonious exclamation, also dresses in black.

Yep. The soul of Dad's Army

"Edward Sinclair ...... was being offered work in panto just as the series finished,[2][better source needed] but died soon after from a heart attack while on holiday in Cheddar, Somerset. This came as a shock to the cast, and it was Arthur Lowe who stated at his funeral service, "With the loss of Teddy, it is now quite clear that there will be no more Dad's Army."*

* source Wikipaedia, sorry about the lynx.

He's not coming let's get back to tomorrow's must win game.

Cardiff at their standard are in a far worse position upfront than use.
He maybe not Shayne Lavery but Lee Bonis is a lot younger scores goals and has a little bit of physicality about him.
In fact his partner Paul O’Neill is a far better player upfront than when we watched him as a right sided midfielder, who couldn’t defend.

Signs for... Charlton (to the end of the season).

Regardless of any impact he may have, that seems like absolute gluttony for a club that already has an enviable array of options up top and is likely cruising to mid-table obscurity this season regardless (and should probably be thinking about 2024/25 - which isn't going to be Connor Wickham, let's be honest).

That level of profligacy feels a little Sunderland circa 2019 👀

They're going for it

To be fair, they absolutely 100 percent are! Whether they should be in their position is another question but nobody can deny they get deals done!

f*****g Hell.

We are having a season that seems to be very widely regarded as disappointing, and yet we're considerably better than they are, and we've doubled them.

And yet...apparently.

I think it’s fairly obvious they go for it in the glamour positions but then fill the rest of the team with players Patto would of turned down for his conference team, a lip sided recruitment policy that leaves you in the bottom half of the table but impresses the lads in the queue for a bargain bucket.
