No but it goes to show panic loans made us a joke
The same window we signed the two from Man City we also signed Brannagan and Dickie. We also signed Todd Kane on loan two days after Smith-Brown signed. We were anything but a joke in that transfer window.
That's the loan game, for every Kane there's a Buckley-Ricketts, for every Beadle there's a Perkins. In the old days clubs were signing players from First Division / PL clubs and in those days for every Magilton you signed from Liverpool you got a Danny Hill from Spurs, for every Paul Moody from Southampton you got a Peter Fear from Wimbledon.
In the same 2016 window, Man City signed Gundogan, Zinchenko, Stones and Jesus. They also signed Claudio Bravo, Nolito and Marlos Moreno. Good window or bad window?

To be fair to Des he didn't say it was the players domino effect. It's more likely the domino effect is Tim finishing a management seminar, contacting Grant who has been out celebrating our December retail figures a bit too hard and is sleeping, who then leaves a message for Horst to see if we can pop in a bid. Horst has to check with Bakrie who is busy on the Olympics, so tried to reach Thohir, who is at the F1. Eventually they get an answer, it goes back down the chain.

By which time the player has fucked off to Barnsley.
That's absolutely how it is - farcical isn't it.

I think Descartes did once say "Doubt everything", which could serve as a motto for this place, especially when applied to announcements from the club!

A friend of Mrs L is a Brentford supporter. He has forwarded to us the BFC Supporters Trust newsletter (comes out on a regular basis via email) The link from the newsletter, in itself a good read, takes you to the club site and a well presented page with information containing details of the supporters seat on the board. https://www.beesunited.org.uk/

I cannot help but think that if we had the same access to the club, a lot more good would come out. Likewise, the exchange of opinions and information would surely help all.

Does the fact it’s so early tell us something?
Not particularly. Just scheduled all the publication of website piece, tweet, facebook post etc for 11am presumably.

Jerome indicated that the club were sat on the Bennett extension, Goodrham extension to stagger news across this week.

JB till end of season

"Until at least the end of the season", so leaving the door open for a further year potentially too even if not agreed now.
