£41,000 for Round One winners - not to be sniffed at.

For me we go as strong as we possibly can and make a raft of changes for the Chelsea U.21 EFL trophy match next Tuesday night.

I'm happy to make the odd change but still go very strong. To be honest, I think there's some excellent changes we can make as our squad has plenty of quality. I'd definitely stick with Harris up top. Hopefully a good opportunity for him to rediscover his scoring touch.

I would play Eastwood, Thorniley, McEachran, Bodin, O'Donkor maybe Murphy.
If there are injuries and suspensions, these will need to be ready to play ( and Bodin and McEachran played for a short time last night).
Maidenhead will be right up for it, but are a lower NL team.

Like marlow was....

I'd go strong, but with an added mix of players that need a bit of a confidence boost and players that need minutes.

Easty
Stevens Negru Thornily Leigh
McEachran Brannagan
Murphy Henry Perkins
Harris

this will be a tougher encounter than expected, reckon we'll squeeze through to round 2 with a one goal margin getting us there

Im missing Saturdays game (in person) as Im working in Newquay this weekend

Is Negru injured, does anyone know? There seem to be rumours he is, but no more than rumours.

I was coming to the end of a holiday in Australia at the time and struggling to find details of English football results. However I managed to find details of FA Cup shocks on the Saturday evening and we weren't listed so I assumed we had got through against Marlow. It was days later I discovered the game had been moved to Sunday .......

Said this on last night's match thread, but I'd also go strong for Saturday.
We have one league game (Orient next Saturday) between now and November 25th, so we don't need to go overboard in resting players - just give a break to a couple of those players who've been ever-presents and are starting to look a little leggy. Want to make sure we win this one with as little fuss as possible.

Something like:

Beadle
Stevens Moore Thornily Leigh
McEachran Cam
Mills Bodin Goodrham
Harris.

Then you can go a bit wacky next Tuesday, and give a bunch more players a rest, whilst ensuring that Eastwood, Negru, Gorrin, Henry, Murphy, Woltman, Perkins and GOD get a start (if they're all fit.....I don't know......).

Yep - hard to imagine this team losing to Marlow..

That was the first season I was going to games regularly, and it was just a really weird one all round.

We had a great team, and after thumping Posh at their place on Boxing Day, we were comfortably top of the league. And then we didn't win again for two months; and despite a couple of rallies later in the season, we never quite recovered and missed the playoffs on the final day of the season. Plus of course, the loss to Marlow.
