I think our problems are in attack, because we are never going to win a game unless we can score more goals than our dodgy defence let in.
We need to score at least 4 goals in a game at the moment.

I`m no Oxbridge maths specialist but I have calculated that if we score one more than the other team we will win.
Conceding goals makes the objective challenge described above harder. :)

That whole message indicates that our issue is in defence though!
Is it though, if the attack can't keep the ball and put pressure on the opposition it leads to other teams continued dominance, we have scored in 1 game this season and the other games we haven't been able to create pressure and relieve the defence from the oppositions attacks, Tuesday was better but it comes back to my original point of having to score more goals.
Can you see many times this year the U's winning 1-0.

Not right now, no [emoji853]

Our problems are everywhere. Injuries, players that are not fit, demoralised squad members, poor recruitment, tactics and a manager who can't engage his brain before flapping his lips.

I can see players wanting away before long. The January window will be a huge test of Tiger's resolve and finance if the current status is allowed to fester.

You build a strong team from the back though. If you defend well, you don't keep giving the ball away to the opposition in dangerous areas. That's still part and parcel of good defending. We attacked well in the final third on Tuesday, and it didn't make a difference to our shoddy defence.

When Robinson had to turn us around in February, he made sure we tightened up at the back before thinking about the attack. It should be the same now.

Can we keep at least 1 thread about football.

It's all about the defence and it's not hard to work that out!

Of course it's all about defence - we have a "Captain" who refuses to sign a new contract (what stunning committment!), he will want 'away' in the summer (if not in January) & he plays like he hasn't got a care in the world. Drop him tomorrow & you see the improvement.

Eh? The state of the squad is not football orientated? The manager's comments are not about football?
No your constant drivel about everything wrong about the club, it’s not great but does everything have to be moaned about all the time, surprisingly for you we all can see what is or isn’t happening and don’t need someone harping on like the clubs folding tomorrow.

Spot on, I've been patient so far but if Nelson starts tomorrow and plays like he has been I'll start to lose it.

If as has been stated Nelson wants away, why would he not play at his best, he is hardly doing his chances of impressing a new potential club at present.

Glad im not the only one who thinks Nelson owes us massively. We had a great player in Dunks who got forced out by Nelson and his inability to play on the left side he cost us what £280,000 and has been injured for large spells wont commit his future. Pushing a young lad like dickie out of position is verging on cowardly a captain should lead by example.

Oh dear. And there was me thinking this was a forum for debate.
Of course one should never mention anything that might cause concern.
If we all keep quiet, it will go away and all will be fine.
But of course, you can see that. Like everyone else.
