I think that’s owned by Bicester Village. I can’t see them selling it for any price. They certainly won’t want a football stadium next to them.Bicester......decent train connections loads of pubs........right next to Bicester village.....where the old Bicester town ground was.......

I can see the headlines now:
Oxford Utd revitalise the waterways of England!
Plans for 'Oxford Metro' include electric trams and new railway links
A MAJOR proposal for a new ‘Oxford Metro’ which could see an electric tramway running through the heart of the city to the John Radcliffe…www.oxfordmail.co.uk
Cancel HS2 and useful schemes like this become loose changeNot a subscriber but I can see a few challenges with that. Mostly involving money.

it is (HS2 ...and East West rail too) proper chewing up large parts of the Oxon / Bucks border villages and surrounding areas.... large swathes of ancient woodlands , wildlife habitat etc totally decimated & destroyed, creating both railway links are nothing more than vanity projects IMOI would agree and think they should never have started HS2 and the pandemic suggests it would be better spending the money on Fibre Broadband!!
The problem with HS2 is that it has gone beyond the point of cancellation now as it chews through Warwickshire and onwards as well as the Curzon development in Brum and all the London end works. Too much time, money & effort has been put in over the last decade to stop it.
but not the East West rail linkThey've already cancelled the Oxford to Cambridge express way.
Time to grow some and halt it. Just because you've wasted a lot of money is not really a reason to waste billions more.I would agree and think they should never have started HS2 and the pandemic suggests it would be better spending the money on Fibre Broadband!!

Well nothing like the damage done by the M40. I don’t recall much fuss about thatit is (HS2 ...and East West rail too) proper chewing up large parts of the Oxon / Bucks border villages and surrounding areas.... large swathes of ancient woodlands , wildlife habitat etc totally decimated & destroyed, creating both railway links are nothing more than vanity projects IMO

I was just addressing the claim about the environmental destruction. Im a big fan of east west rail and I guess we needed the m40, on the fence about HS2Difference between the HS2 and the east west rail link, m40 is the hs2 doesn't have any benefit to the local area.
