Sounds like a normal Friday night on the pull.......They are all gagged in the back of a van!
Why would that be? Darryl, as the Chairman, can do what he wants, when he wants. I am sure he will pull a rabbit out of the hat. Lets just wait a little bit longer. It's clear then that they fans forum is happening. It would be unthinkable that they wouldn't have a manager in place by then.
He’s probably hoping it’s Faz who pulls a couple of rabbits out of the hat with a couple of wins before the forum. He can then announce that it’s with great pleasure that he’s appointing Faz as manager after he has proved his ability in the interim period, to a round of applause from everyone present...Why would that be? It's OUFC - nothing is unthinkable! It's clear then that they fans forum is happening. It would be unthinkable that they wouldn't have a manager in place by then.
As must as my dislike for the bloke, KT did a great job of connecting the club with the fans, he took any pressure off the owner and liaised with the media.Surely our new part time MD is not away somewhere. He made all the right noises and spoke of communication with the fans did he not?
But nothing from him either!

Gino's van? They are all gagged in the back of a van!
Entirely gutted I won't be able to make the forum (unfortunately I'll be in Italy visiting the family). It's clear then that they fans forum is happening. It would be unthinkable that they wouldn't have a manager in place by then.
Porsche Cayanne more like! Clearly not paid minimum wage...Gino's van?
I did know that about KT and the financial issues, our mutual “friend” kept me well informed from the inside about events in those days.He was also very good at spending money that wasn't his and in return meant once he left the owner was very much under pressure when it came to finances.

Going from Mark Ashton to a part time headteacher is a true sign of how far we've come since DE's reign. I'm sure Nialls a lovely bloke but that doesn't make him a good managing director at a football league club. We need a serious investment in our infrastructure if new owners arrive
he spoke well at the Oxvox members meeting and agreed to look into all sorts of issues raised.... yet no results apparent so far....... @Dave T you've hit the nail on the head re what he is allowed to do methinks?I think that not only is he a lovely bloke he knows more about running a business, getting the most out of his team, and football than people give him credit for. He is exactly the sort of person u want to get Oufc back on track. How much he’s allowed to do and what funds he has to do it with is an entirely different thing
If any of the bits involve investment, I can see him being in a bit of a bind at the moment. Still can do the due diligence on any ideas thoughhe spoke well at the Oxvox members meeting and agreed to look into all sorts of issues raised.... yet no results apparent so far....... @Dave T you've hit the nail on the head re what he is allowed to do methinks?

hopefully we'll find out soonProbably all ties in with the takeover again, it’s not just Darryl that quiet it’s the whole club, but that all comes from the top. I don’t doubt for one sec he’s looked into and followed up on those points. I think under different circumstances he would be very much more public, and proactive
Is he still in the role or has he left as well?
The fact that Tiger spends a lot of his time abroad, the role of the CEO/MD is going to be even more demanding. It will be difficult to do this role on a partîme basis.
The actual structure of the club is so weird that it needs a total overhaul. Whilst the playing budget has doubled during DE's time in charge, the rest of the club has been fairly comprehensively hollowed out. There have been cuts at the Academy, the Commercial department has been reduced to Rosie and young Adam selling boxes, there is no Marketing department, no proper finance director, a part-time MD who has never worked in the commercial world let alone football, no replacement for the chief scout..... the list goes on.
You cannot run a medium-sized business like that without it coming to bite you in the a**e sooner rather than later. The sycophants who are fond of saying that "the club is further forward in every regard since four years ago" are talking absolute tosh. The club is further forward in one (important) regard: our league status..... and, if one is being generous, the one surviving remnant of the recruitment system that Ashton built.
In all other regards, Tiger will encounter a wasteland. He has already noticed that the merchandising is rubbish because that is his space. But he will find similar decay under almost every stone that he cares to look under. Since Ashton left, the operation has been gradually winnowed away to be replaced by a personality cult convincing enough to dupe enough of the people enough of the time for just long enough. Presuming that Tiger actually wants to do things properly, he is desperately going to need an experienced football club commercial/ marketing/ management guy to get the whole rickety show back on its feet again.
